I though Sam hit a wall towards the end of last season and was nothing like the player who first made the team. IMO, if his end of season form continued in Div 1, he'd struggle. I appreciate it was his first season but there is still a risk that Div 1 might be too big a step too soon.

:imwith:

And anyway, just because we have 2 players for 2 positions, I think it's great we've signed another. We have about 4 centre backs, and this guy will offer something completely different to Wood.

Competition for places is great.

I see that Barcham has just signed a 2 year deal with Gills - I wonder where this leaves GP?

I don't think that Poole will go to Gillingham now. If they had stayed in League 2 it would have been an almost certain signing, but as they've gone up Stimson is probably looking at better players.

Glenn Poole

Im sure Poole will find another league 2 club, and probably do very well for them

Don't be shocked if he ends up at Northampton after a drink I had with one of their coaches last night. I told him I'd accept 20% of any sell on fee and that they were mugs for missing out on Gary Smith who has a house in..... err Northampton.

You Didnt Mention Marvin Williams, the Cristiano Ronaldo of League 2? You should have told him we would accept anything upwardsof £100,000 (no need to worry about the sell on fee)

The Ronald McDonald of League Two.

Would be a great signing for the Daggers, may replace the midfield goals they've lost from that bloke on the right for them last season!;)

Glenn Poole

I hope that's how it pans out - I wouldn't be chuffed if he ended up at Gillingham

Glenn Poole

would be ideal for Glenn. Think he will do very well there
Good luck mate,.

Glenn Poole

Hope it is Daggers, good manager, good team and good player. Would hate to see a player I liked go to a team I didn't like so this move would fit the bill.:sorted::sorted:

Good luck Glenn, I'm sure you'll have a great time there, not sure we treated you that well last year, so it'll be nice to get a new club and get scoring again!

How can you say he was not treated well, Sam Wood kept him out of the team on form, we won the league and have got out of League 2 which everyone wanted. If that is not treating him well, bad luck.

Glenn Poole

He lives in Hornchurh i believe.
Perfect team for Glenn i think but will D&R be up there next season... after releasing a few players and hangover from last season on missing out on p.offs

Glenn Poole

He should do a very good job for Daggers. Hope it all works out well for him.

Glenn Poole

Good luck Glenn.......but shouldn't this thread now be in ex Bees?

Edmundo won't move it unless you spell something wrong, misuse an apostrophe, or call someone gay or welsh.....it's a mod thing :rolleyes::rolleyes:

Good luck Glenn it will be hard for me to forget that superb goal against Wycombe on boxing day. Class.

All the best Pooley...anyone who has watched the first part of the "Season to Remember" DVD will be reminded that it a lot is owed to Mr Poole for his early season form/goals/assists.

IMHO.......he is worth another contract and would have liked him to stay

Glenn Poole

All the best to him. He was a very important player for us in 07/08 and also played his part at the beginning of last season. Also scored some corkers - Bradford away and Wycombe at home two of the most memorable ones.

Weston is Miles better than Poole. :sorted:

True alot of people didint take in to account that Glenn scored what some 7 goals start of the season before losing his place to Woody. he played a vital part.
would have love to see him stay and played all of last year as im sure he would have done better than that of 07/08.
Good luck Pooley.

I watched the DVD from last season the other day and in the first few months GP scored some key goals and was involved in many more, hard to see how he ever lost his place!

Not complaining though, Scotty knew what he was doing!!:sorted:

Glenn Poole

Glenn himself udnerstood it, but what he didint understand was when he was told to go out on loan AS said he will go and score goals no problem I think Glenn couldnt understand if AS is saying he can score goals why wouldnt he play him

Glenn Poole

If Poole does go to Daggers it would be great for them and for the man himself, i can see them doing well with him in the team.
