gloves off - boycotts

A lot of people will say forget boycotts of anything as in the long run they hurt the club - but a programme boycott should be started soon.

Why?

Because even if the local 1000 GPG'ers don't buy the programme they will start reducing the copies made and the lies will have a smaller audience!

Why do people buy the programme? Basically to find out about the opposition and for the newbies and away support to find out about us - all the rest of the thing is filler - forgetting the rubbish comments from chairman noades -as we all know that are absolute bullshit!!

So why buy the rag? (Sorry PG I know you put a lot of work into the publication)

How many of you have read the programme cover to cover before 4:45pm? zero.

so start with "ron's propaganda sheet" to boycott.

What else?

gloves off - boycotts

Must say I agree wholeheartedly.

You can get any of the fixture info or stats from the website; you get the team read out by PG; and anything worth reading about will be either placed on the official site or debated at length on here.

Plus it's not cheap - that's £2.50 that could be going to BU. And that's a whole lotta cash being diverted away from RN's evil regime of muck.

I'm saying this as a fully paid up member of Bees United.

This thread is total rubbish. The less programmes sold equates to less money coming in, and thus more money for Bees United to try and fund if/when they take over the club.

We should be encouraging everybody to spend as much as they can to stop this Football Club going into adminstration - be it burgers, replica tops, programmes, calenders, you name it. Because if The Club does go into administration, Bees United's hopes of taking over the football club will slide further away.

It is not a bluff, it will happen if income is not raised. I'm praying for Wally's boys on December 7th against York in the Cup and I hope you are too.

It's time to dig deep, whether it is for The Football Club, Bees United or Lifeline.

Aussie Bee, you are 12,000 miles away and it shows.

I was told at the meeting on Wednesday that Bees United are considering loaning the Football Club £150,000 - so any money given to Bees United in a bucket will go straight to BFC anyway!

Whether it is secured or unsecured it will go against the bank overdraft.

Can you answer that?

gloves off - boycotts

Why not boycott the game as well, and give the money to BU? You can find out the score on teletext!

;)

gloves off - boycotts

Don't split hairs mark

Don't buy the programme - It's full of crap - and Noades might get the cash

Donate your 2.50p in the bucket and make sure BU get it

whatever BU do with the money is fine by me - I would be pretty sure they won't be giving the money to the SP - why would they?

giving it to the club is another thing - but I'm sure you know all about the web the SP has weaved so no one knows what the overdraft even is! Never mind whos getting what out of the many companys/plcs etc!

Similar things have been suggested by people living far closer.

IMO that the only people boycotting the programme would be the minority who already know exactly what is going on at the club and therefore are immune to the propaganda anyway.

What we need to do is work out how we can get all those part-timers to see the truth, and to understand the true situation of our club.

I know. That makes it even worse. :(

Interesting dilemma really.

Ultimately Mark Chapman is right here, in that further reducing the football clubs already limited income only increases the chances of administration etc, it is not really a choice between BU and BFC both need to be financially supported.

At the same time this issue wouldnt arise if Noades didn't incite it in the first place by using the Matchday programme as his personal propaganda sheet.

I would respectfully suggest to the club via Mark C that if they really want to discourage this sort of suggestion then Noades starts to use the programme for what it is for. To give the fans information about whats going on at the club. (how about starting with Forzoni!!!).

Any further talk about the fans page being censored and I will also be joining the boycott the programme campaign.

It's in your hands Brentford.

A, hopefully objective, view.

Programme sells at £2.50 LESS production/ programme seller costs and unsold programmes sent for pulping/recycling. (I won't guess) but nett amount to club therefore has to be significantly less than £2.50.

£2.50 given to BU is worth full £2.50 to secure against the future of the club.

Irrespective of ones views about 'Ron's Rants' (I think I've made my own position clear enough in the past) a direct contribution to BU does more to secure the future than buying a programme.

Spot on mate. Best thing said on this thread.

It is such a crying shame that Ron Noades is at BFC

There is absolutely nothing which proves to me that he has the best interest of the Club at heart nor ever has done. The way he is going at it recently almost proves that he's trying to kill the Club off by being so obstructive, negative and downright rude.

It hurts many people (myself incl. :( ) to give money to the Club but I can't help it.The thought of that tw@t Noades sitting at the top of the pile creaming it (or 'having' creamed it - how were those years of group tax relief for you Noades ? ) makes me wanna puke.

The Club does need money to get it thru' to the end of the season and everyone must pull together and try (jeez it's hard) to forget that that pillock Noades exists !

Join Bees Utd and try, if possible, to extend to completing a Standing Order.

In the meantime, I'll carry on buying the prog. It's a crackin' read and "Senile Corner" just fuels a bit of anger which gets released from the Paddock at the opposition :D Boycotting the prog will not affect Noades, if anything, it will help him in his warped desire to get us out of GP to Kingsmeadow !

spot on there is NO way that stopping buying anything on match days will help,it will only make things worse.the healthier the club when bees u takes over the better it will be for us all.we should spend more at the club not less.to minimise bfc incomings now at this juncture would be a very serious misjudgement imho.spend what you can while in the ground and fill those bees united buckets.

Try and keep up Mark. You were terminated from Bees United round about the same time that Roberto Forzoni left the club. It will be in next weeks Chronicle.;)

Confirmation not speculation that's what you get from abee

By the way can't wait for Cheltenham tomorrow to see our new striker who either played for Ireland or England under 9's, is aged between 23 and 46 scored more than 10 goals in a career spanning not more than 61 years and 672 matches and has played in all four divisions of the Ryman League. He is not less that 5' 3" and not more than 7' 4" and he will be wearing number 69 on his shirt as he will be featured in a News of the World expose this Sunday.

People have a right to an opinion albeit correct or incorrect. By stopping buying programmes you are reducing the clubs revenue. I agree you could give £2.50 to Bees United, but will this go to in the Short or Long term as if it is not within a month you are putting the club at more financial risk !

Buy Thorne in the Side instead then??!!

You'll get more truth, more laughs and will be supporting Bees United along the way.

Those who didn't get a copy, look out for us at Cheltenham tommorrow or at the home game against Chesterfield.

THORNE IN THE SIDE = FINANCIALLY SUPPORTING BEES UNITED>

well said bee all, boycotts get us nowhere!
I sometimes get the programme, i like reading wally's thoughts, they crack me up, however he did tell us not to bother going to plymouth - badminton:( :D

I think all the fanzines are a great read, but the proportion of laughs has gone down a lot in recent times I feel! I vote for MORE hilarious joke pages in fanzines!

The programme has been a monumental rip-off for a long time and I never buy one. It is fair to say that the fanzines have been poor this season at a time when they really do have a vital role to play.
Bring back Rob Bartram's "Voice of the Beehive" I say.

Wise Old Bee.... Well contribute then and have your say or write the sort of article that you feel is lacking. Both TITS and Beesotted is always asking for fresh input. The next Beesotted will be out at Xmas and your article can be sent to [email protected]

The solution to the Noades Propaganda problem is easy. As you walk up to the ground, buy what-ever fanzine is on sale, put some money in the Bees United bucket, take 3 standing order forms to give to your mates inside the ground who you know still haven't signed up, buy the programme, then as you walk into the ground, rip Ron's page out of TW8 and use it as confetti when the players run out. Use his negative rubbish and turn it into something positive.

Not buying the programme doesn't mean not contributing towards the clubs's income. If Bees United are going to lend the club money, then putting my £2.50 in the bucket rather than paying it for a programme DOES support the club - and means I don't have to read a page of Ron Noades vitriolic ramblings. I can't make him go away and I can't stop him from appearing int the programme but I don't have to read him either.

**** me, the last issue of TITS had me pissing my pants, even if I did write the damn thing myself - I would be extremely worried if people honeslty felt that the humour in TITS had gone downhill or disappeared?????
I personally feel that that is why it is so popular, because it has a fair mix between humour and seriuos articles?

If you do wish to contribute then please do so, you're very welcome and at this moment in time, when every fcker seems to be slating the fans, I feel that fanzines are more important than ever.

Always good to hear opinions though!

Seriuosly though, views, letters, articles are always welcome. It's people like you that put the FAN into Fanzine!
