It reminds me of a pro day we had a few years ago. Our club professional sponsors a day each year, normally a scramble for which he provides some prizes. He always has a special competition on our 130 yard par 3 island green. One year it was each 3 ball member put in £5 to beat the pro in a nearest the pin, if any member of the 3 ball got nearer to the pin than pro he paid out £15 plus our £15 back, if he was closest he pocketed our £15. He had pin put 1 yard from edge of green, which in turn was was a couple of yards from the water. Needless to say he didn't lose many nearest the pins!

Assume you are referring to Danny Willett who won The Masters in 2016. Strange coincidence I played golf with someone today who originates from Sheffield and is a mate of Danny. He was telling me that Danny's career has been hindered by severe back and shoulder injuries but still has career earnings approaching £20M. Endorsements and appearance fees have probably doubled that figure after he won The Masters.
