tbh it's nothing like as bad as what's been shown all over the news from Anfield, Elland Road over the past couple of weeks...........

Some right do gooders on here ....

Every beach, riverside, park and front room in the whole country.

Yes it is wrong but lets not go over the top. There has been 7 cases in Hounslow in the last week and its going down everywhere. Lets just hope we are coming out the other side.
Badgerbee. You can not defend the indefensible by trying to calculate a positive from a series of wrongs.

Hanworthbee. I have just spent four and a half months indoors trying to protect myself, my family, my friends and even people that I don't personally know, like yourself. During that time I have been living off of two bank loans and my poker winnings off banana. I haven't earned a penny, am heavily in debt, have seen both of my businesses go down the sh*tter and have had to attend two funerals of close friends who have died from Covid 19, from a social distance in a crematorium car park. I have had the worry and frustration of a seriously ill mother in hospital (not with Covid) for most of the time since the beginning of the year who could really use my help and support, who I haven't been able to see since February. Having gone through that only to be described as a 'right do gooder', saddens me and leaves me a bit numb.

Mhead bee. I study this closely every day and it is not 'going down everywhere'. It isn't going anywhere except up. The fatality numbers might be down, but that's the result of a hard lockdown. People don't contract Covid 19 and then die the next day. They may first suffer for many weeks and months. Since restrictions have been lifted, case numbers are creeping up again. Slowly at the moment but I will give you a cast iron 100% guarantee, that this is about to explode again and a lot sooner than many think. By the end of August, if not sooner, I firmly believe we will be well and truly f***** and it will all be down to behaviour like this. If so much as one person there last night was an asymptomatic carrier, that could well cause mayhem and heartbreak for hundreds of people.

This video has also been posted on Facebook and the majority of the comments show a level of heartbreaking stupidity. Including one from the most pig ignorant c*** I believe it has ever been my privilege to stumble across. He wrote, "Id take a dose of carona to be there" (sic). Another Facebook member, the second most pig ignorant c*** I believe it has ever been my privilege to stumble across, found this so desperately funny that he acknowledged it with a laughing emoji.

Yes it has happened elsewhere, but I really hoped, naively, that we were better than that. It was a great, historic night on the pitch and I really should be getting excited about Tuesday. But sometimes things are more important. My football mojo has gone.

I wonder how many people moaning about this on here were as vocal when the BLM protests were taking place, at a point when the infection rate was far higher........ the self righteousness of some people on here is so cringy........
I totally agree with you, i am not self righteous..i was going to raise the BLM protests but my mrs said no you will be accused of being racist. What many do not grasp is how infectious this virus is it thrives on crowds. I want to be in Lionel rd asap. It ain’t going to happen with flooded beaches protest marches and large gatherings. I am getting on in years and i want to be watching football asap. What was the point of turning up at GP when the club told us to stay away.? There is nothing self righteous about those that disagree

we have our first ever woke virus, where is the spike from the blm protests??

The far rights gathering would have much more cause for concern. Especially when they were attacking plod and anyone who got in their way.

Why? There were idiots on both sides from what I saw on the news. Just because someone has a different political opinion from yourself does not make them more or less likely to catch Covid so I don’t see how the far right (as you put it) would give anyone more cause for concern in terms of spreading coronavirus. The fact you state this shows to me you are a brainwashed leftie with an agenda to push

John, the virus is so woke it knows not to infect blm protesters. Protest against lockdown or blm, then you are killing people!!

Anyone attending a mass protest or celebration at this moment in time, whatever the cause or whatever the occasion, is a Grade A ****. Hope this helps. :sorted:

Brainwashed?
No.
Opinionated?
Yes.

I know maybe too much about the far right tbh.
There was a time when I watched them from very close quarters and I mean very close.
Trying to understand the enemy. That was 40 years ago.
Given the choice, I am content to be who I am and I am happy with that.

I for the life of me do not understand why the BLM protests have been brought up here. I was under the impression that politics was banned on this site!

It was bought up as it demonstrates the utter hypocrisy of some of the do gooders on this thread.

The biggest part I have an issue with is Ollie getting in amongst the fans, and Saunders at the pub (I assume that video was from yesterday). If any of them test positive it could **** up our PO final team...it's not the time for the players to go near fans! Especially ones who aren't adhering to social distancing in any way.

Don’t worry about Saunders, can’t even see him making the bench on Tuesday

Let's hope he doesn't have to. ;)

I sort of understand this but I am hoping it will stop here because rules are rules. I was stopped from posting about such issues a couple of weeks ago (fairly as it so happens), so it would be disappointing if that did not happen here.

There has been 7 cases in Hounslow in the last week and its going down everywhere.
The reason it''s been going down is because people with an IQ above 25 and/or a sense of responsibility have avoided unnecessary contact with others. You know, like last night.

Lets just hope we are coming out the other side.
Not while we have idiots like those at GP last night, we won't.

But hey ho, maybe that makes me a "do gooder", as someone else had it.

Do not quite understand your question, but are you telling me that there was no spread of infection from any of the many marches? And the mass gatherings on the beaches then you are talking rubbish.

That is the issue in a nutshell, it's all about me don't give a fig about anyone else.

Right, so those people complaining about BLM protests presumably don't approve of such mass gatherings, if only because they risk spreading disease.

But the protests do serve to "justify" the same behaviour by Bees fans, meaning that no-one can condemn the latter.

Have I got that right?

(I don't normally do fc uked-up reasoning)

That is still a lot of deaths. Other countries are starting to experience more infections. I want this to go away as much as everyone else.

I was pointing out that the number of cases is not going down but stabilising. Agree re deaths - on average about a hundred a day. Far too many. It'll only be gone when there's an effective vaccine and people behave responsibly.

Its quite simple isnt it. Morally and technically they both shouldnt have happened but both things happened because supporters thought it was for a worthy cause, rightly or wrongly. BLM protests and other questionable events happened before last night so people have seen that and thought if they can do it why cant i go and support my cause.

Anyways, its all happened, people are going to do their own thing regardless of people "condemning" them on the internet. Scenes yesterday will be nothing compared to what tuesday night could be like!
