Ive asked this before we got promotion ,but now it is a reality. GPG gets stuck when there's around 500 peeps on it.Now we've got promotion we can expect crowds of 20,000 on here. Is the GPG going to get an upgraded whats name?.Im sure any cost implications can be met by Banana who was recently thrown on to a Spanish pitch and eaten by a player

The last time the GPG went awol, wasn't the site restricted to registered members only in the end? Maybe this will have to happen on away matchdays - as these are the days which seem to be the problem - on a regular basis?

Banana is still probably running around the Ukraine, so may not reply anytime soon - or is he back here or in the US of A? - thinking of you :banana: lol

I'm visiting London this week. The GPG server copes fine except for penalty shoot-outs and given that we don't do cup competitions any more (at least not until Jan 3rd) we should be ok on that front. However I did think about this point myself and we may have to look for donations if we need more oomph

A £5 a year "donation" will sort out the wheat from the chaff too ;) Although, admin could be interesting, maybe? :computer:

To make this happen, what kind of donations are we contemplating ? I'd be willing to contribute to the cause if need be

that's not strictly true, it has often this season struggled on big games between 4.40 and 5pm

I think this is the way forward ,some thing like this . Banana has a great vehicle here with the GPG for potential income ,but I know he wont do this .Even I dont expect the £700 back for the new pc I donated all them years back to keep the old Grapevine going.:)

If Banana can get a rough cost of what the upgrade would cost and be transparent about it.We could all pay £1.00 or what ever a month to subscribe.The running costs can be taken from this annually and any surplus can be donated to a charity of our choice.What dya think?

Adverts should be banned, or perhaps some posters can have a red P symbol for product placement by their posts

Interestingly enough, I have been a server for over 4 years now b.t.w. and will be serving on Saturday

My other half donates a pound a month to a forum that she regularly uses. It help keeps the site in the black, and gives a sense of community to the forum.

So, could we not contribute regularly (monthly) via Paypal or elctronic transfer?

If you recon there's about 500 regular users why not charge a reasonable £5 per head for a years subscription to those that want to join and post, if only 250 want to join that should bring in £1,250 a season, all the rest who don't want to pay can just read articles but not post unless they come up with the wonger, as we hope to attract more followers in the Championship, so our fan base on here should grow, I'm sure the experts on here can work it all out, I'm not clued up on all this interweb, facetwatter thingy, but I'm sure it could work.

No reason why the Nana should continue with picking up the cost.

The GPG is now something bigger than perhaps he anticipated and as such so are the costs.

I believe Nana should advise the cost and I have no doubt it will be covered by GPG members in very short time. I for one am more than happy to help.

And if it could be renamed The Survey Equipment Services. Inc "GPG" Forum I will have SES cover all costs :)

As someone mentioned before with the move to Lionel Rd around the corner will the "Griffin Park Grapevine" be renamed? Rebranded?

Since most of pay 5 quid a month to Bees Player to see the action / Interviews I reckon 5 quid a year for the GPG is too low!

How about 10 quid a year - with any monies left over after nana pays the bills going to a worthy cause like TITS do each issue?

I fear that may not may not be great vfm. I will probably spend most of the time on the GPG.

tamarins have unionised recently :( I asked one of them to put a like button on the mobile version

Reckon today could become the day when the most users will be on the GPG. Currently stands at 501 at any one time. Will be interesting to see the
figures during and after the Stevenage match.
