Great Escape

Don't depair, I understand the board have arranged a meeting for April 1st to discuss the Great Escape. They've finally found a slot in the diary when they're all free. The chair has already done some preparatory work and contacted a potential supplier of plastic spoons to dig the tunnel with. The manager and team are also training hard and said to be 150,000% focused on the task in hand.

Uncle Greg has commented that he is confident Brentford will escape from the first division into the promised land. 'I would just ask the inmates of the Brentford asylum to be patient(s) for a little longer, a lot of groundwork has to be done before the first diggings can be made but we're confident we will have reached the barbed wire by June. We won't make the same mistake as in the film and waste time making the tunnel too long'.

Great Escape

Surely this should be in General Bees discussion?  :(

Great Escape

Great Escape? I think we less of Steve McQueen and more of Charlton Heston turning up as Moses!

Great Escape

We have been thrown so many lifelines by all the teams around us constantly losing. How we are still mathamatically capable of staying up after 3 victories in 35 odd games is remarkable. Everytime the door has creaked open a few inches to give us a chance to close the gap we have turned in a stomach churning home performance and lost against a team that has failed to win in 20 odd games or so!

This is the worst team we have had in my lifetime. In previous relegations we have at least fought until the final day of the season!

I hope next season brings a new fresh manager and a clear out of existing players and some fresh players who can put up a fight on a staurday.

Fitz may be a good coach but is he a good manager, is he more Kidd than Ferguson if you know what I mean.

All well & good, but what about the REAL culprits in the staff canteen?

Great Escape

It's just a question of where the tunnel comes out, if we're not careful it could be in Feltham Arenas or Kingstonian. Worse still it could be the New Road bogs.

WE STILL BELIEVE....... PROVIDING WE DONT LOSE TOMMORROW NIGHT.

Good for you. I wish more of our lot had that sort of positive thinking to pass on to the team and managment.

But - I still hope (in a sporting way) that you lose tomorrow to give US a chance of believing.

Do you still believe then Larry?

I beleive in trips to Rochadale etc next year - They still have my full support but realism has to come to the fore at some time this season.

And if we avoid the drop, I will donate 500 English Pounds to Fighting Chance for being so pessimistic and wrong.

Great Escape

i heard thompson are doing some cheap deals to spain/italy/portugal. thats a great escape..:sorted:

Great Escape

Tomorrow is pretty much the last chance. No win tomorrow, definite L2 status.

Great Escape

We're staying up. :sorted:

I'm going for a Lloydy goal in the 94th minute at Tranmere to seal the greatest escape and send the travelling masses into ecstacy....:)

Well, as one great man once said......PMA.
