Far from being a "waste of time and money", selling equity in the club is the ONLY way that we can get out of this sort of debt. (other than moving grounds of course and sharing with QPR). I guess you still think that shaking buckets has some hope of raising £5m+. or possibly, we can keep cutting the playing budget back year on year. Lets start with next year, we'll be in League 2 probably with average gates of 3500 so lets see how the manager gets on with a budget of £400k shall we. Conference here we come. But then we all know that you are one of those who loves the small club mentality and cant wait for the day when we can rise from the ashes as AFC Brentford in Ryman league 8. There won't be many of the rest of us there though.
As for Lange changing his mind about selling his shares, how do you know that. The last I heard on the subject was that he had offered them to BU. Not that long ago either. They managed to make that statement public so if he HAS changed his mind I would respectfully suggest to them that they also make that public so we all know where we stand.
We can keep downsizing and budget cutting as we slide down the leagues or alternatively we could actually try something different. It isn't for me to provide you with a costed plan about a share issue, it has happened elsewhere successfully not least at your beloved AFC Wimbledon. Alternatively maybe some of our Investor Directors (or some new big hitters) might actually be perpared to invest a bit more if they get something back for their money. At the end of the day as long as BU keeps at least 51% the club is not at risk from a Noades scenario.
