The continuous silence from the board is deafening. Have you any idea what your are doing? Have you any idea at all? If so please share it with us.

The Board have indicated, via the Chronicle that Leroy has a "target" and poor performances will lead to his job being on the agenda of the next Board Meeting, in around 10 days.
Do you want them to put a countdown clock on the O/S ?

Were the Chronicle briefed by the BFC Board then?

I am getting somewhat bemused as from the posts I see some of these persons seem as in the dark as we are and the others don't post here as far as I know.I agree with this. The problem is that the BU Board has never attempted to communicate with the membership anything other than at a fairly superficial level. For whatever reason, it has decided to try and play down the seriousness of the financial situation and IMHO all the communications problems stem from this mistaken decision.
As for noms de plumes on here ...
Trevor Inns = Banana
Mark Chapman = markbfc
Natasha Judge = northantsbee
Joe Bourke = JoeBourke
Matt Dolman = Matty D
Allison Franklin = Nurse Betty
David Hawes = eghambee
So the Board haven't indicated a thing in that case..........
It is completely and utterly pointless having a figurehead Chairman like Greg Dyke fronting a Board for a club owned by an organisation like BU. Even if he wanted to put some of his substantial wealth into the club he probably wouldn't be allowed to.
I'm concerned that in BU, we now have a structure at the club that has as it's only ambition treading water. The new ground isn't happening (doubtful if it ever will) , debt won't get repaid because there seems to be no real strategy to do so.
Unless BU are prepared to allow people with proper money back into the fold then we will just see the club downsized gradually and playing performances will mean we probably end up as conference fodder a lot sooner than some of us dared to think. By letting people with money back into the club, I don't mean sell BU's share to the highest bidder, they now at least have the power to stop the club being hawked around to just anybody, but from where I am standing I would far rather they used their position to safeguard the ground and let the glory side of running a football club be handed over to someone who can actually inject some funds into the club.
Time for abee etc etc to start getting the wheels in motion for a proper consortium to get this club moving in the right direction again.
I have just read that the chairmans response to leroy`s exit.he says that whoever replaces him will have to work with the same players and there is no more money for new additions to the squad. What`s his game, does he really have the best interests of the club at heart. I think not! if he did he would have tried to find the extra money Martin Allen needed to strenghten last seasons team when we were so close to winning promotion, instead Allen left feeling he had taken the club as far as he could.
In comes leroy and now he`s gone and leaving us in the religation zone.
I am sick and tired of the board continuing to preach that we have no money and the club is in debt. sometimes in business you have speculate to accumulate, and the extra money Martin Allen wanted does not seem such a bad bet.
I would like to remind the Brentford board that this is about football and the success of the team is what it is all about, this is what I pay my attendance fee for week in week out. If this club has no ambition and I mean the directors not the fans we will never move forward in fact we could end up going backwards as recent events have proved.
What a rollercoaster ride my time following this club has been.In the 38 years I have not had very much to cheer about, but I continue to live in hope. When BU took control of the club I thought that it was a good idea. now I am not so sure we have made the right choice. The whole set up lacks ambition.
Extra funds needs to be put into the playing staff in order to safeguard our exsistance in Leauge 1. so my advice is to up the debt, and lets give it ago. After all promotion to a higher diversion will hopefully increase attendances, generate a larger slice of the pie from the football leauge and give us poor suffering fans something to cheer about. You never know where it will take us.

A BU run club won't work. Nice idea but it is doomed to failure. Unfortunately, it looks as though while we watch the BU experiment gradually crumble the club will be sliding down the league(s) as we constantly cut our costs to match our ever dwindling income.
Unless BU are able to come up with something a bit more radical than standing orders and bucket shaking that is.
To those who say, what else do you suggest, do you want another sugar daddy with millions to come in?
The answer is "yes I do". Hasn't done Reading any harm has it, they aren't all like Noades.
I'm not convinced of where Dyke fits into the current set up really, and I'm not all that sure he is either. If BU were to relinquish control though I'm sure he could be capable of helping to put something together.
GD is causing as big a rot in this club as other unmentionables before him. between now and May the crowd will be averaging 3.5k and next year under 3k
Long live BFC

GD is causing as big a rot in this club as other unmentionables before him.

Can you explain why you believe that to be the case?
I know its "traditional" to slate the chairman when times are tough, but surely we all knew what it said on the tin when GD joined the board? After all, i think we needed/wanted him more than the other way round?
He is a "trophy chairman", there to open doors behind the scenes etc, has lent BFC a six figure sum by all accounts, has lots of other commitments so was never gonna be "hands on" at GP.......hardly Public Enemy No.1 though, or have i missed something![]()

You're supposed to be one of the sensible ones.![]()

Can't see where this is coming from bigman...he said from day one that he would not be a day to day chairman....think questions have to be asked of Brian Burgess who has kept his head under the parapet during all of this...
Us people in Yorkshire do not get the Chronicle?
Why have they not put this on the OS?
We all know that you can not trust the media.
