Griffin Park

Right, I'm pretty sure this was asked before but I can't (be bothered to) find the answer.

Was gonna drive to the match on the 20th, but am increasingly thinking I'll need a few drinks as I'm getting butterflies when anyone even mentions the match already.

How do I get there if I don't drive??

From Uxbridge I assume? Piccadilly line from Uxbridge to Acton Town, change there and get tube to South Ealing (one stop) then get 65 bus or more likely walk 20 mins to GP...

If we win promotion, you'll be sufficently drunk to get a cab back!

Would that be in your limo with vibro-seats and his'n'hers mini bars?

Oi!!! 'Ang on a miiiinute!! As if that lasted!

He's long gone. I've already been forgiven for that error. Spurs fan now and one that is willing to come to Brentford, and even has a little soft for the Bees. Better? Mildly?

Do you even know what it's like being a girl these days...do you?? Can never find the whole package in a man (so to speak)- so difficult these days to find one who supports the right team. *sob*
;)

It's not that hard! Griffin Park is full of nice men (well alright, there are a few weird ones!). I only go out with Brentford fans and I'm a happy bunny.

my topic on the same subject has vanished

basically, my local knowledge is *ahem* shaky to say the least - is GP easy to walk to from South Ealing tube? Is South Ealing the easiest/best tube station to get to (travelling from St. Pancras)?

Yes. Fifteen minutes, but with your long legs, perhaps only ten. Feeling lazy? Hop on a 65 bus!

Definitely.

the crux of the matter is tho... which way am i going?? like i say, i know ealing about as well as i know the back of my hand (er, i never look at the back of my hand, what sorta sh*t expression IS that  :D), so which road am i going on, etc?????

Dan - Get off the train at South Ealing Station - you come out on Ealing Rd - Cross the road and you will see a bus stop (about eye level :)) get on a no 65 big red thing that will say it is going to Kew I think.

Ask the nice conductor to tell you when you are going past Griffin Park :)

Head to the pottery arms to collect your free beers in Sept :)

Dan, you gimp;
Arrive King's Cross, either:
1) Get Piccadilly Line straight to South Ealing and walk 15 mins from there.
2) Get Victoria line Southbound from King's X to Vauxhall then get BR to Brentford.

Both journeys take about the same amount of time, but the walk from Brentford BR is shorter, and there's less likelihood of your getting lost.

If your coming from Uxbridge you could get the 207 or 607 bus straight down to QPR. It goes through Ealing and Acton- but would probably take about 1 1/2 hours from Uxbridge on a saturday knowing the traffic!

Sweet of you to try and help out, but I'm talking about the Reading match, not the QPR one. Never done anything but drive to GP and am at a loss as to how I'm going to get enough drinks in to calm my nerves and get to the game!

Thank you to the others though - South Ealing and the 65 bus sounds simple enough!

I'll let you know what we're up to as I don't think any of us will want to drive if it' gonna be the biggun it looks like.

he has a little soft? Sorry? I always thought that the Bees was a bit of an aphrodisiac not an antidote to Viagra poisoning! :D

hmm, you broke the vibro seats, and as you know the " mini bars " are not alcohol and need constant battery replacement with your level of abuse, did you get it out ?

Are all the Armchair bus routes going then? The 237's, E2's, E8's etc?

Griffin Park

It's a very easy walk, I wouldn't waste 70p on a bus myself, I usually walk all the way back to Ealing Brodway, and I'm a lazy arse! It's the first stop after you cross the Great West Road/M4 Flyover if you do get a bus, however.
