Grimsby vs Bees updates

Thank **** we held on for 3 points against Rushden in the autumn....both times, in fact.

Grimsby vs Bees updates

Those opponents next week

Port Vale
Bournemouth
Tranmere
Luton

All are next to each other in the top half of the table, but it looks like only Port Vale still have a playoff hope. The two who stay up out of Bees, Chesterfield, Rushden, Grimsby are gonna have to earn it against a decent team.

Makes those after time goals v Wednesday & Chesterfield even more annoying :(

Here my take using the current form table above.

Tranmere Grimsby. Grimsby are away and Tranmere top the current form table. But Tranmere lost today and we all know about Grimsby.

Rushden Port Vale. Rushden are bottom of current form table and Port Vale need to win to stand a chance of the play offs

Chesterfield Luton. Luton are near the bottom of the current form table and have lost their last three away games. But they have won today. Chesterfield's home form is mixed.

Brentford Bournemouth. I worry we have lost momentum. Lots of talk about the players looking tired. We are fourth in current form table with 1 win and two draws at GP. Bournemouth's away form is mixed, only one win in six and nothing to play for.

But who knows on the day :(

But lets 'pack the park'!

I worry that Bournemouth have nothing to play for - neither did Wycombe last week and look what happened!

We've done so well since MA took over - I just hope the lads aren't going to blow it at the final hurdle.

I was not too happy when Talbot was substituted. He has been the stalwart of the side and we need his on-field influence in these critical matches.

Wycombe players did have something to play for though, pride. AFCB seasons is safely over they wont be too bothered about next week, we need to make sure we get at them from the off and try to get an early goal. I am still hopeful and also sure that had we stuck with Downes we would already be relegated so just to have got to the last game of the season with our destiny in our own hands is a result.

Have to agree, it was a mad substitution. Was he injured? To have Somner and Hutch in midfield is like rolling over and saying; "have the three points Grimsby.. "

Perhaps MA was possessed by the spirit of Wally for a moment, it's just the sort of stupid thing he would have done. Hope MA's learnt his lesson..

If he had to take off Talbot then surely Evans would have been a far better choice?? Seems like we've found another manager who don't like midfielders!! ;-)

Firkin Referee!!! Honest incompetence or worse??? The elbow on Matt in the box at the end was unbelievable - everyone in the ground saw it and I'm certain that the ref did too. The game ended in total farce with Grimsby idiots dancing on the pitch whilst the game was still being played. Was it orchestrated by the club? There certainly was zero effort to stop them coming onto the pitch.

Oh come on there was at least three stewards holding them back........!

I did seriously think it encourge the ref to blow up early, no seven addtional minutes for time wasting in this match.
