There was a lot of 'em about. You can tell them by the startled look of awe when the place was rocking. Come back soon y'all.

Cracked open a 1992 bottle of Barolo tonight with the wife.
Lovely with a Chicken Kebab :D

Was over in New Road today with my 2 Nephews and when our second goal went in, I gave one of the 9 year olds a kiss on the cheek ..

What a day. Bring on Man U

Group Hug?!

I cracked open my knee on a 30 year old gatepost on my way in tonight !!! but what the heck I've got another knee....feel on top of the world today...especially after arriving back at Heathrow from Spain (work !) over 2 hours late, then finding the Piccadilly line was not operating due to engineering works so had to get a black cab to Brentford ( 26 quid   ...worth every penny !) in order to make the game....:sorted:

Big up to Bernie & his hound in heaven!!!!!

Another giveaway is when they are standing outside the ground looking at their ticket and trying to find where they are suposed to be.

Love u all!:love2:
Have had such a frustrating night as a female football fan
(which is why on here now)!

Went into town for (male non-football fan) friend's drink, ended up at a rock bar -
great music but...all the men I chatted to (chatted to, not tried to chat - up :) ) were not
into football at all!
Was dying to talk football to someone: how brilliant Bees are, which Premiership Club will go for DJ, etc, etc.

If get up up in time will go watch Barnet Women play their home FA cup game later today at...Hanwell Town's
ground at the end of my road (Argyle Road, W13), if only so I can talk footy with someone!
Tiny's bruv plays for them or did last time I looked - that's Hanwell Town, not Barnet Women/Ladies!!!:D .

I was in New Road for the first time ever - I didn't know my way round, and I've been going to GP for well over 50 years.

I thought both your knees, and hips were artificial, if not they have lasted a long time:wave:

Probably didnt hurt as much as most opponents knees after playing against you on a Sunday morning:D

Being confused and wandering around can be forgiven in your case Larry:wave:

Speaking of which. While I don't have it in front of me, did you write in Beesotted that MA has led to successive promotions? What the ****?

Group Hug?!

Apologies. What it says is, "For a start, we're well on course for promotion (for the second year running)...". I see that what you meant was that for the second year in a row we're in the hunt for promotion. Between the pints of London Pride, reading it once in a crowd, and the abysmal construction of the sentence I misinterpretted this.

By the way, I did like the Gayle interview. You should stick to this sort of thing, Larr.

Not even being summoned from the pub to watch some crappy film by the 'uva arf' could get me down last night.
Love it all, getting texts from people you haven't heard from for years, but obviosuly remember the ear-bashing you've given them about Brentford over the years.
Haven't had one of those celebrations where you're just hugging total strangers for ages :dj: :bound:

Big hug with Mr. Chapman after the pitch invasion - half for the result & half for the fact we'd managed to survive staying on our feet after trying to take pics in the melee rofl

Being pedantic - it could also mean "for the second year running we're ON COURSE for promotion....." not for promotion itself.

But anyway.......

The following have two different meanings:

"For a start, we're well on course, for the second year running, for promotion".
"For a start, we're well on course for promotion (for the second year running)...".

Group Hug?!

Nah, good try though 'Nanners. Even with the corrected punctuation it still suggests we're planning another promotion party. I think the use of the phrase "on course" is the misleading bit as much as anything. Suggests our course was true in '04/'05.

I'm sticking with, "For the second year running we're in the hunt for promotion."

Not sure about your pedantry, larrysigny. If that's what you meant, why didn't you write that? What you wrote was wrong or poorly written - you tell us which.
