I may be wrong, but I think that game saw the first ever Brentford goal scored by a substitute.
The late Tommy Higginson smashed the ball gleefully into the roof of the Millwall goal, not long after joining the frey against the promotion chasers.
Alas, Millwall went on to still win that game, but Higgy gave us hope.
And I doubt if he was at all bothered by that hand grenade!

As has been pointed out, it is probably a training grenade.

Of course, had he been holding it when it went off it looks like it would have probably still removed all of his fingers.
