Harlee Dean

..........yep..........he's a big fella...........did well when he came on.........

Harlee Dean

Airing some controversial views on Twitter!

Sounds like he has some experience (sadly) on the topic though so I will give him the benefit of the doubt. Time and a place though!

Harlee Dean

Has not gone down well from Saints fans, I have not seen his tweets before he deleted them but will give him the benefit of the doubt as he is very young.

Harlee Dean

What were the tweets?

Saying that suicide is a selfish act - a view aired on here in the past - and as said earlier, he appears to have had experience in it. Nothing offensive I should add but there's a time and a place though.

Might be surplus to requirements at Southampton now they have signed Celtic's Jos Hooiveld on a permanent basis. If he impresses I wonder if we'll look to sign him permanently...

I reckon so.

Harlee Dean

I think So'ton allowing him to play on Sat is a pretty clear indiciator that he's on his way out.

With all the talk about KO going he maybe the replacement. He had some good reports from the guys that went up to Rochdale.

I hope not - I'm looking forward to very girly sounding Harlee & Karleigh defensive partnership. Stuff like that would have the likes of Dean Windass quaking in his boots.

Harlee Dean

Think Harley created a very good first impression for himself yesterday! Enjoyed watching him play and I think that during the 2nd half it was lovely to see him getting forward.

Excited to see him again...

Harlee Dean

Improved as the game went on. During the last 20 minutes wasn't afraid to push forward to try to gain some initiative. I believe he may be able to play in a midfield position as well as noted in the Development team game.

Harlee Dean

Poor first half, but improved in second. Was getting unfair abuse from some near me - pointless abusing a kid in his first start

Unfortunately there is a tiny minority who abuse players. I don't know why they do it as it's counterproductive and pointless. Perhaps a psychologist can answer.

Harlee Dean

I thought he improved as the game went on and was putting everything in to get us an equaliser.
Not quite sure why Uwe dropped Eger though.

Harlee Dean

Agree with this. Very average 1st half but improved & tbf has very little league experience.

However why drop Eger????

Also interesting to see that Spillane played extremely well for Daggers on saturday at C/half.

.........had a very good game this evening................think he is possibly wasted at centre half..................stick him in centre midfield..............good skills and uses the ball well..................

Harlee Dean

Very impressed with him today :)

Very impressed with him today :)

I thought he struggled a little in the air today tbh and before the game I was hoping to see him and Eger line up alongside each other. He needed Leon to win the aerial battle today but that said, he's hugely impressive for a youngster. Great on the ball and prepared to put his foot in. I like him a lot and if Karleigh does go in January, I'd be very pleased if we were able to bring him in as a replacement.

So would I :sorted:

This guy is class, it's great to have a center back comfortable in possession and able to pick a pass.

Agree, this is a good player. Gives 100%, a player I hope we will sign and cash in on KO.

Thinking the same, reckon we'll take cash from Charlton rather than nothing in the Summer now we appear to have three decent centre backs without him.

Harlee Dean

Had a great game today, good turn of pace, solid in the air and gets us going running the ball out in to midfield. Good eye for a pass to. Should have a great future ahead of him and someone we should be looking to sign up.

Harlee Dean

he made a terrific tackle in the 2nd half, mistimed and he would have been off.

Harlee Dean

........................................impressed again ......................decent in the air and good ball distribution.......................................

Harlee Dean

...............................good in the air, good passing and dribbling from midfield..................would be nice to keep this chap for a while longer...............................

Harlee Dean

Sign him, he is better than Karleigh in my eyes.

Ah -ha..... a new song for January.....We all agree....Harlee is better than Karleigh ....well why not ? :D

Harlee Dean

I am and always have been the self proclaimed Chairperson of the Karleigh fan club. However, I wonder if his head has been turned by Charlton's interest, his high standards have slipped this term, if he won't sign a new deal then sell him in Jan, Eger, Dean and Legge is a good base to start from.

Unlike Wooman's followers I can see the wood from the trees and man love for players holds the club back, if they aren't good enough, good for spirit or not performing, head turned etc then say goodbye, they are mercenaries and we'll get better to fill ther spots when they move on.

Harlee Dean

Seems to be a bit of a lower league Phil Jones. I am a big fan of Karleigh and hope we can keep him but his situation ought to be resolved in January; sign a new contract or accept a bid from another club. Would like to see Dean stay with us whatever happens with KO.

Agree, I think he would make a good defensive midfielder.

Harlee Dean

He's also developed a good understanding with Jake Bidwell. Bury's Liverpool 'starlet' gave up on their right after about 30 minutes to try his luck against Logan. In the second half Dean marauded forward a few times; we should have encouraged more of it.

We laughed about that, Amoo can run 100 metres in 10.17 seconds or something but Bidwell had him in his pocket, Jones has been a good player for Bury for a while ut again he was dealt with well. Bidwell looks a very solid and good player.

We'd be mad to let Karleigh go in January unless there's no chance of him signing a reasonable contract before June. His performances and general form last season were Championship standard and, at only 23, he's only going to get better.

Dean looks a top prospect and I'd definitely sign him if possible, though I'm worried that if Southampton are watching his performances it might not be so straightforward! Man of the match yesterday IMO, it will be interesting to see if he's ready to come up against the division's top forwards when we play Charlton and Huddersfield next month.

Harlee Dean

Sounds similar to Uwe on the official site......

Attention to detail BFC Comms/Marketing department. Poor as usual.

I would sign Dean asap. My perspective on Osborne is that he has had one good season. The rest have been iffy. He is old enough to have introduced consistency into his play but unfortunately he appears to have gone backwards. Compare him with Dean who is still in his teens and IMO, there's no comparison. If the offer is there I'd sell him and use the money to help us get that elusive striker.

I feel we would be mad not to sell KO, if the fee is reasonable enough to put towards whatever we have in the bank to get a striker. With the back line as it is I feel it's good enough to compete with any team in this league.
