Hate Corner

Who's up for reviving this and getting a bit of atmosphere going at GP?

Hate Corner

Not if it means going in stinky New Road thankyou very much :nono:

Hate Corner

I think the only options at this time are:

Slightly sarcastic, if that's all right with you, corner - for the bored New Roaders
We think it is funny but no-one else does corner - for the Chavvy kids

Hate Corner

I'm with VoTB. Numbers have dwindled but the concept is very much there and alive. A good bit of banter with Hereford saturday.

Maybe we could have a recruitment campaign with VoTB selecting lucky winners in a reality show style audition.

Hate Corner

i think we are going soft at gp to nice to the away team and manager

Hate Corner

A lot of the old members of it have now grown up and in some cases don't even come anymore.

Speak for yourself lol The police shut down the old Hate Corner, for their own reasons. They'd probably do the same again if it ever got back to like it was before

Hate Corner

Who cares? Most of the times the away supporters get real abuse, their team goes and scores within the next minute.

Hate Corner

Hate Corner was at its best during the first season back in (at the time) Division 2 under the management of R** ******. Against Luton, it was more like an entire third of the New Road stand rather than just a corner. Happy days.

Hate Corner

I know! Why don't we ban concessions from that part of New Road????

:sneakoff:

Hate Corner

The 3 people who currently sit there are all adults anyway ;)

Hate Corner

Id go any where to avoid the chav kids in ER.

Thats such a stereotype of us. just becuasse we like to show our passion for brentford and sing it dosent mean we are all chavs, ok,some of them are, but not all of us

Did your passion extend to booing Alex Rhodes who was released by the club?

Think it opened against Luton and only a bit of it was in use. Packed in that bit though and a late Taylor winner if i remember. My favourites were the night game against Plymouth when Asaba scored 30 seconds after they did ( cue excellent pitch invason) and Swansea promotion year and Bristol City play offs.

Come over and have a nice cup of tea with us distinguished gents in E block :sorted:

Correction?: "Id go any where to avoid the chav kids in ER and the pensioners in NR."

Don't know about chav ....but yes unfortunately there are some "kids" spoiling ER

Anyone between the ages of 12-25 should go in the family stand lol

However, one who I thought was about 18/19..is infact 30 this year!!!

Hate Corner

47, isn't he?

Shut your face......I actually had my first conversation with him after the game on Saturday........he told me he didnt actually think he was a *****, he said what he said and had lots of friends who thought he was funny and he would carry on doing it....now I was even more amazed...as a teenager you think they may grow out of it...but a 30 year old  :nono:

DO youi not want any singing at GP at all then? because if us so called "kids" even tho we are 17-25, which is classed as a young adult. well if we went out of ER, i can safely say that we would have the worst atmospheare in the whole of the football league, because no one else but us sings!

Hate Corner

Totally agreeing with tomisabee, im 18 and a season ticket holder in ER, whats wrong with people aged 15-25 being in there!
We create an atmosphere maybe dont come out with a good range of songs but we do our best, and i know i love this club just as much as everyone on here!
We give our passion and maybe there are some idiots in ER who do do stupid things but give us a break, we creat good atmosphere. I personally would love to see ER being how it is, Paddock going back to its better days and Hate corner back GP would be amazing on match day however its only ER atm so deal with it! ER coming under lots critisms this season, dont see anyone else doing anythin about creating noise at GP!!

The best was against Fulham in April '98. 1000 packed in strong right next to the Brook Road. No mouth from them that day.

Hate Corner

How about against Cardiff in Div 3 when both teams were at the top, they had about 1000 locked out and we all waved tenners at them... Then Herman scored the winner to send them back down the M4....

The New Road corner was empty that day mate. Great game though.

Not everyone under the age of twenty is a "chav" you know. Nor is everyone who sings. Sometimes the songs can be slightly embarrassing or lack originality but at least they're trying rather than constantly moaning like yourself.

Having said that - describe to me what you think a chav is.

Anyone under the age of 20, someone who thinks their sh*t doesn't stink and that they are untouchable. Loads of the chavs on ER are tiny little specimens with big gobs and look about tough as Paul Brooker.

Was this the one (of many?) when they could be seen between the stands running up and down the road fighting with the police? Should have taken the opportunity to ditch them from the English leagues then :fishing:

You should have taken the opportunity to tell them that.

Agree with you, just becaus we sing, people class us as 'chavs'
There are a few 'Chavs' in there, but not everyone
