Be good to see Hate Corner as it used to be on Sunday. The club have sold tickets for A block so it will be full! Can't wait!
lmao fing hell that is so funny lol lol lolWhatever he says he's not in to netball or braiding hair. Do not give out your address or school
Should the gpg have a panic button?
If he offers to drive you to Hate Corner one night call the police.
No mention of the 50 pence that cut is head from hate corner all them years ago proper fanny

That's not some thing really to be proud of ,is it ?
I don’t believe a 50 pence was ever thrown but this knob decided to do some over the top play acting!! The failure to mention the incident in this interview where he mentions various other objects being thrown at him throughout his career says it all.
Yeah righto, an old firm game with 50k attendance is on a par with Brentford v Bristol Rovers in the 3rd division with a 6k crowd
Each to their own but I would say brentford getting hammered by Bristol city and Walters faking being struck by a 50 pence piece is bigger than 50k people turning up to low grade Scottish football with pigs heads and bananas
Hate Corner was closed after Millwall created havoc and coined a young (female) Bees fan I thought
The Mark Walters incident I re call happened at the corner of New Road And Ealing Rd, and was caused by his over the top celebration.

That's exactly how I remember it, rather than as has been trying to sell a book!

Hullbee's complaint was that he DIDN'T mention us lolHate Corner was closed after Millwall created havoc and coined a young (female) Bees fan I thought
It was annoying as although it was lively it never felt edgy or like it was going to kick off.
.
Is the paddock the current equivalent?
Just can’t see the newbees and prawn sandwich brigade knowing what hate corner stood for.??
Er...Luton in 1998?

No way. It was when the dugouts were over there, been tame ever since. Shame really as the walk for the away manager (simpson etc) and the in game antics really got the atmosphere going at GP. Add to that the atmosphere Brook Road used to get going along with the Paddock, it made GP a real hostile place for away teams.

Yes, Peter Jackson used to regularly remark on how intimidating it was.

My Hate Corner's greatest hits would probably be:
Luton 1998
Swansea 1999
Notts County (the Owers incident) 2000
Bristol City play-off semi 1997
WBA league cup 1998
It was already going downhill by the time that Millwall game came around IMO...

Some very fun times in Hate Corner. I can clearly recall that day Cardiff came to town. I was probably 17, 18 and one of my mates had just got his first car. We were a gobby little of group of youngsters. I remember parking up in the Bull building car park on Great West Road, and when getting out of the car, a transit with about 8 Cardiff blokes pulled in, saw us and started banging the windows to get out and pulling throat cut gestures. It set the tone for the afternoon. Remember seeing hundreds of them gathered in the car park to the flats at the corner with brook / new road. We was a bit less gobby that day, and thereafter![]()

Football friends or Bus Colins?
Think I had the latter in mind but your memory is clearly better than mine!
But in a way that’s the great opportunity. We have to fill a 17,250 stadium going forward, whereas the core ‘old git’/GPG support is only 4-5k. Like many on here I stood on the old Royal Oak, have been to Macclesfield, Darlo, you name it, have the Eddie Hutchinson, Carl Hutchings t-shirt, know the difference between Deano and Dean Smith, but (on one level) that’s all in the past. We’re going to have to welcome nearly 5-6,000 ‘new Brentford’ fans to Lionel Road whilst somehow keeping all that’s good about Griffin Park and making it a really welcoming but also bleedin’ intimidating place to go. Fantastic opportunity

Bus Stop ****ers?!
