With the run in coming to a end , Seems like a lot of us are going through the ringer at the moment trying to find ways of getting through this period of our lives without losing the plot My situation is not made any easier with a wife who's just started talking about decorating the lounge and wanting to look at different furnishings ffs .. and how my boss thinks he's going to get any more out of me at the moment is beyond me ? just thought this thread my help us exorcise all these demons ( and partners ) who are trying to conspire against us, and make it the most uncomfortable ride possible. Good luck to one and all and just hope to make to the finish line with our great team

I did.

My wife always does my nut in when she expects me to act normal in the few hours leading up to a big game. When I playing in a big game like a local league cup final, the play off final, or bees v donny last year, a big England game in the WC (when I gave a *****). You spend the whole day pacing up and down whiling the time away but not wanting it to go too fast as the moment of no return will be here. I mutter to myself, go through every possible scenario and I am totally distracted.

This is the moment she chooses to discuss what furnishings we should put in the new bath room or asks if I can help with my kids homework project, will I call my mum to discuss the bank holiday arrangements etc. She does not seem to be able to compute that there is one thing on my mind and one thing only and I can't even listen to her for more than 3 seconds before I start talking to myself again.

Life was so much easier when I was single, I just went down the pub with like minded people and we all went through the same thing together and the alcahol dumbed the feeling (obviously didn't work if I was playing game)
