How many points do we need?

After today, I reckon as few as 10 more wins (with a few draws thrown in) will be enough to finish in the top 2. Fully expect Wolves to be around 90 pts and still think Orient will falter (although surprised they're still up there - fair play to them). Can't see anyone else getting near. Short of absolute injury disaster or an exodus in the transfer window, surely 30-35 points should be easy from 21 games? We will never have a better chance (although I said that last season!) For the first time in a long time and from the games I've seen this season (and particularly since MW's appointment), it's so refreshing to see teams worrying about us instead of the other way round. Come on - let's make this a record-breaking season!

Not sure I would agree with this when despite our fantastic recent run only 3 points separate top 3........ Reckon we've got a 2 in 3 chance of automatic, with a certain go at the play-offs to fall back on.......having siad that I would have taken that back in August!!

92 points always does it. That's another 37: simplest way is win 10 home games and then only seven needed away We're averaging 2.2 pts per game, which is extraordinarily good, and 9 points better than at this stage last season...

It is amazing that with this incredible run we are still in such a tight race. If we can keep this blistering pace up, then one of Wolves or Orient will fall away.

Stupid comments on other threads like 'now we've got Akpom top 2 is a certainty' fall far more into the counting of chickens category.

Following on from Orient's recent falter, still think 90 pts will do it, maybe less. Orient will have to average 2pts a game to get 91, which I can't see them doing. Wolves look like they'll get over the 90 now. Preston/Rotherham might catch Orient, but they won't catch us. 8 wins from 16 games will do it, maybe as few as 6 wins with some drawn games. Positive thinking though, as I think we'll get more than enough to get over the finishing line.

Agree about 90, but anything can still happen. And it depends on where those additional 24 points come from. If six of them are from the Wolves and LO games, 90 should be plenty. If Wolves and LO both take three points off us, then it's a much closer call.

May be many ways to interpret "feasibly". If we won all remaining games we'd reach 114, but that's ridiculous. Continuing form under Warburton would mean something like 12 wins and 4 draws so 106 - unrealistic. Extrapolating our league results over the season so far would give about 101, which I'd see as the maximum realistic - but unlikely.

I think 95 would definitely do it. 90 might, but I wouldn't be entirely confident

I like the simple things in life... ! However, the games against Wolves and LO are 6 pointers, and they still have to play each other. The results of these 3 games will bee crucial IMO in determining the top 2.

All ifs and buts I know but if we had played and beaten Crawley last week we would be 8 points ahead of Orient.
