Right preliminary enquiries have been made, should be a better deal around on the net, but cant be bothered to look yet.

london kings x, 8:40 gets in at 12:04 change at leeds, and london 9:30 gets in at 12:30pm, change at york i think. 27 pounds, booked in advance, no yp discounts, otherwise pay on day is very expensive - 60 odd quid and 40 respectively.

on the way back, there is a 17:31 gets back to london at 8:57, changing at selby,
distance from ground to the station anybody?
im assuming its a 3pm kick off?

It's nop more than 20 minutes from the station if you need to plan a quick getaway. Got back from the Mac for a 10.20pm train with plenty of time this season.

Managed to get a group ticket from Kings Cross to York for £59 for 4 people.
£9.60 from York to Huddersfield so £25 all told or £21 YP, not bad at all.
Unfortunately those tickets had to be booked a week in advance.

i'm not sure how it works from sheffield-huddersfield, can't be too bad, and i think you can get a £15 return st pancras-sheffield from midlandmainline.com, if that's any help??? (probably not...!)
