They double their season ticket prices to help pay off their loan and then splash out £200k on a player, I think there'd be uproar at some other locations.

good player bit of a thug so he fit in well. just abit weird that you rise s/t 60% due to money problems then sign a player for 200,000.

Really excellent player, tall, quick, great in the air, good anticipation, and can also play up front.

Glad he's out of our League BUT, note the fee that they got for him and reflect then on what we could expect for Sam.

Also, Paul Hayes of Scunthrope is a target for the "cash strapped giants from West London". Oh and Dennis Wise. Looks like their financial prudence is just about managing to keep them afloat then.

Good point but the BBC story says he has a clause which allows him to speak to clubs who offer 100k.

Add to that that Evatt has only 1 year left on his contract whereas Sam has 2 (or 3?)

I'm a season ticket holder and I'm happy - looks like a decent, young signing for a good fee (initial fee of £150k, rising to £200k with appearnaces and success). Better than the £800k which was being talked about for Davies of Middlesboro!

Through gritted teeth: I've seen him a good few times now, and he's a steal at that price. Will be solid in back and chip in a few goals as well.

Completely agree, a very good deal for QPR.

The only thing that puzles me is the price, why pay £150k if he could have been bought for £100K. Or was that wrong?
