Really think he needs a session or two with Michael Caulfield, the sports psychologist.

It all seems to be about a total lack of confidence. People said, "Wait till he gets a goal and he'll be back to normal." Well, he did against Chelsea. He's getting gradually worse.

No doubting he needs time, but despite me being reminded earlier that we are the 3rd highest scorers in the league, I maintain that our attack has looked very out of sorts, with the exception of the Spurs, Chelsea & Leeds games. Worryingly, against Sunderland & Hull, both sides I'm expecting to be nearer the bottom, we've looked toothless.

He is working hard and the team is grinding out points. Nowhere near his or our potential I would suggest.

Come on he was awful today
Apart from dribble around 7 players and slot the ball in the top corner, what was he supposed to do today that singles him out for being “awful”? Regularly had 3 defenders on him. That we didn’t exploit the space that it should have afforded is not down to Thiago.

His form is definitely a concern. Not the lack of goals but his general play has been very sloppy and not making the right movements. Blocking schades shot summed up his fortune at the moment.

I cannot see how you can cite today’s game. We had both our defensive midfielders missing, we had a full back playing out of position there, consequently the midfield was completely unbalanced. You have pointed out that we are third highest scorers.
Until that midfield is secure we cannot expect Thiago to be supplied with the opportunities he has the right to expect. Perhaps we should be looking at the likes of Dalsgaard, and Jensen before we start talking of dropping a man who is consistently creating chances for his colleagues.

You need to let it go. He was fine for us.

Blame the two fools who got sent off last time out

I will risk going old arguments, but I do not consider them to be fools, more aptly described as victims of awful refereeing. That said, without the sending off we could easily have collected 3 points from that game. I will nevertheless call it a draw. Today with those two available we would have won, so in all another three points. Add four points to our total, and we are 4th in the table after 8 games, and people are complaining about our striker. Should we finish the season 4th in the table even if Igor never scores again this season I shall be ecstatic!

Should never have shaved his beard off and messed with his mojo.Rub some vitamin E in and he'll be fine in a couple of weeks.

What 100% doesn’t help him is when Wilson comes on to play with him. Killed any momentum today and hasn’t lead to a goal scoring chance all season.

Yes, this needs to stop, every away game we have tried it and all it does is stop us having any width

For anyone that was there today and stayed till the end he looked absolutely crestfallen when he came over at the end~ at th very least massively disappointed in his own performance. Think he needs a sport psychologist to build him up again to be honest, especially as not sure there is anyone in our squad that could do the job we want our centre forward to do better than him when on form.

He's out of form but won't be dropped. Why? Because our only like for like (ish) alternative is an old player, who can only do a few mins here and there at Prem level.

If the form doesn't pick up soon, maybe the questionable value of the January window will be investigated by Phil and Co 🤷🏻‍♂️

I think thats mighty harsh on Wilson. I suspect he could play 60 minutes every other game for example.

When has he had the opportunity to fail to be “clinical”?
Theres been plenty. I take it you dont watch every game? Towards the back end of last season he missed a bunch of chances and any one would have got us in Europe. I'm not trying to get a hate on Igor as I think he's a great player, but just needs a rest from playing 90 mins every game. Just feel he will perform better as an impact sub for a while until his confidence returns. Football is a game of confidence and playing someone 90 mins every game when they are low on it is for me a recipe for disaster for the player and club.

I am definitely in the ‘let’s be patient with Tiago’ camp BUT today he was bloody useless. One assist does not excuse a level of ineptness that is causing us to misfire up front. I will be patient and keep the faith but it does not disallow calling out a crap performance. And please no one mention his confidence or lack of it. In my long years of working I was never able to explain away a f… up by saying ‘oh but my confidence is low’ . I knew where that one would lead
in your long years of working, did you often have people calling out your workrate and ability saying you were crap all over social media when actually you - and your team - were doing perfectly well?

No of course not.
If we put aside my reference to my working performance (which as you are pointing out is irrelevant) it is surely acceptable for me to have an opinion that his performance yesterday was terrible. In the same vein I thought Sangare and Dango were great. You may disagree with this, it’s a forum.

Thiago does a lot of quiet work and yesterday we wouldn't have got the goal without him nudging the ball to Ouattara. I'd like to see Anthony get a run of games.

Youre aving a larf Shirley ? He was putting him self about left right and centre , almost over trying
That particular poster has a history of spouting utter bollo about Thiago - he could score 40 goals a season and he would still bear a weird grudge, one to put on ignore
