Iheanacho

Unbeleiveable that Leicester signed the talented 21 year old for £25M in the summer on wages £115000 and few months later want shot of him.

They should never have offered him those wages unless they were going to make him a star player. Now they can't even loan him as clubs won't pay those wages.

I think it summarises a lot that is wrong with football.

Yep, absolutely bonkers.

I thought he was a really decent player at city and just needed regular games

He's been playing in their check a trade games. I mean I know he's under 23 but this is hardly helping young English talent is it. How the hell does a development player ever get a game if they are using matches like this to play players who cost over 25 mil!

Never heard of him, so must be rubbish.

Leicester have a habit of signing decently expensive players and they carrying on to use the ones they had already. Musa, Ieatanacho....the one they signed to replace Kante (I think they signed two actually...).

Their signings need to improve. Grey was a very good signing but other than this it's more miss than hit since their league winning season. Maguire has been decent though.

They lost the head of recruitment and his replacement has been naff it would seem. Although the previous guy now at Everton isn't doing great either.

Don't we use some of our first team squad in development games to get fit? The cost of the player is irrelevant. Playing Ben Hamer in the last round was probably worse than someone who fits the age group criteria.

It probably is, I just think that considering the tournament was setup under the premise of ensuring young English players get more game time, its makes it even more farcical.
