any update on Julian Marc Jeanvier please
Dasilva’s was a freak injury, and MBS and Baptiste’s were just extremely unlucky. We already know that Ajer and Janelt’s are only minor too.Is anyone else a bit worried about our increasing injury list ? We now have Babtiste out for up to a couple of months - Ajer with a hamstring injury - Da Silva out with long term hip injury - Janelt getting an injury in the warm up before the West Ham match - Mads Bech out with medium long term injury. I read that FTT was carrying and injury in the West Ham game. Pinnock just back from an injury.
Now if we hadn’t started so well, replacing these players and giving others an opportunity would be fine. However we have looked so convincing against all opposition to date with the core of this team and have had some wriggle room on the bench, but now I feel it is getting close to the bone. If we get a couple of players coming back and regaining full fitness, I think we are fine; but if those out struggle to recover / get back to full fitness and we get any more injuries it will be a cause for concern.
Could it be the case that the intensity that our players have started the season with is potentially raising the chances of injury.
I know there is nothing we can do about this and in his interview Phil Giles said that injured players just afford an opportunity for others to step up to the mark, but for me we have been so brilliant I can only see replacements in general weakening the team. I hope this situation does not arise and if it does I am proved wrong. It will be great if we can field a very strong side against Chelsea as I think we have every chance of giving them a good game. Fingers crossed we get no more injuries in the next few games and we can continue to see this side flourish under Frank’s excellent management
I’ll be surprised if Shandon is back in 8 weeks. NHS recovery time says 12 to 16 weeks, then he’s got to get fit. More likely 5 to 6 months. Such a shame for him after his recent fine run of form.Is anyone else a bit worried about our increasing injury list ? We are soon getting near to the January window, don’t worry the powers that be will make sure thar we will be alright .Is anyone else a bit worried about our increasing injury list ? Yep I’m aware of that. However I think it’ll be little longer than 8 weeks until we see him playing for the first team again. Sincerely hope I’m wrong. We've got first class medical staff, private treatment and oxygen tents.
MBS has already been out 6 weeks does anyone know whether he needed to have an operation or letting nature take its course supported by our fitness team?Dasilva’s was a freak injury, and MBS and Baptiste’s were just extremely unlucky. We already know that Ajer and Janelt’s are only minor too.

Totally forgot he was hereKeep forgetting he is here.
Da Silva’s A freak injury? Where did that come from? He was playing with a problem for ages before he finally succumbed. More like being a big player in a very small squad who was over played after injury during a crucial period. He should have taken a few games rest to get it right.Dasilva’s was a freak injury, and MBS and Baptiste’s were just extremely unlucky. We already know that Ajer and Janelt’s are only minor too.
I think we over played Dasilva, we played him through the injury. He played at Stoke away when Janelt scored a screamer and was subbed at half time, it was clear he shouldn't be playing but the medical team said he was fit to playI'd say that only Sørensen's and Ajer's injuries are related to playing stresses. Dasilva was probably a simple injury exacerbated by an undiscovered biomechanical problem that needed correction; Janelt was probably more a precaution; Baptiste just a bad landing from that tackle. So, not much more than general random injuries. Clearly, we can't afford too many at any one time but Ajer and Janelt sound like short-term, while Baptiste will be a couple of months, Mads and Josh will be later but probably back before the run in.
That’s a very strong allegation about the medical team.…it was clear he shouldn't be playing but the medical team said he was fit to play
A freak injury in terms of a hip problem keeping him out for over a year and still not knowing when exactly he’ll be back. The problem wasn’t the way we play, it was the way we managed the problem.Da Silva’s A freak injury? Where did that come from? He was playing with a problem for ages before he finally succumbed. If "Managed the problem" means giving him sufficient rest when the injury first came to note I will agree. We, on the other hand, were running with a very small squad of genuine first team players, and at such an important stage of the season may have had little option, other than to play him. We were promoted so maybe harsh to say, but, perhaps he was an unavoidable casualty. Whatever we move on so let's hope his absence is not prolonged, and that when he does return he has no long term disability.A freak injury in terms of a hip problem keeping him out for over a year and still not knowing when exactly he’ll be back. ?Biomecanical?
Is Josh a Terminator or something?!
1., I think we over played Dasilva, - opinion , fineI think we over played Dasilva, we played him through the injury. He played at Stoke away when Janelt scored a screamer and was subbed at half time, it was clear he shouldn't be playing but the medical team said he was fit to play

2. we played him through the injury. - do you have evidence of this
3. , it was clear he shouldn't be playing but the medical team said he was fit to play - I bet you don't have evidence of this one. Watch Chris Haslam's latest interview and come back and call him a f***ing liar.
?A new one on me.
Maybe somebody could give Onyeka an "elbow to the ear" in training just before the African Cup of Nations...
Without wishing to appear to sarcastic, have you thought about joining our medical team???2. No specific evidence but to me it was pretty clesr he wasn't alright, he got Subbed at half time and was clearly struggling to play I his normal way
3. I've seen the interview I just think that it wasn't sensible to play him, I could see that he wasn't right to play, whether it was his or the medical teams decision to play I don't know
Excuse me I’m looking for an argument? Ah that’s room Seven next door. This room is abuse.
No it isn't.Excuse me I’m looking for an argument? Ah that’s room Seven next door. This room is abuse.
Based on previous replies, your skating on thin ice, its all very personal and you shouldn't pryGiven he's been out so long, does anyone know exactly what Josh's injury is ?
I've been wondering if he actually BROKE his hip ?
He wasn’t subbed at half time, he was subbed on the hour mark whilst on a yellow card.2. No specific evidence but to me it was pretty clesr he wasn't alright, he got Subbed at half time and was clearly struggling to play I his normal way

Please don’t let facts get in the way. Our medical team are sh@t another promising young player we have ruined! He wasn’t subbed at half time, he was subbed on the hour mark whilst on a yellow card.
8 weeks of that is the waiting list.I’ll be surprised if Shandon is back in 8 weeks. NHS recovery time says 12 to 16 weeks, then he’s got to get fit. More likely 5 to 6 months. Such a shame for him after his recent fine run of form.
Given the lack of specific information and the concern of most fans regarding the injury status of one of our best players may I respectfully suggest that you wind your neck in ?Based on previous replies, your skating on thin ice, its all very personal and you shouldn't pry
Obviously Baptiste is out but Tf says Ajer and Janelt okAny updates on our boys for tomorrow? I know Chelsea have a few bruises and don't like the choice of umpire. ?![]()
He can’t play until Jan regardless thoughPicture of JDS from club twitter, can only be positive for them to feature him, unless it’s just a reminder he’s still very much part of team
He’s been out for nearly a year, suspect it’ll be a slow process of non contact training, B team games for awhile before he can even think about being on the bench and competing for a place, just good to see him without the context of his injuryHe can’t play until Jan regardless though
Plus Jeanvier.Current first team inventory, just need 3 more for a very formidable starting XI
Raya
Pinnock
Sorenson
Janelt
Baptiste
Dasilva
Wissa
Mbeumo
Yeah I didn't put him in as I wasn't really counting him as first team, although he technically is of coursePlus Jeanvier.
Reminds me of the terrible trouble Bryan Robson used to have. His arm used to literally fall off every other game.![]()
