International Break

International Break

Throwing money at it though, is it sustaibale? Read an article that stated Macclesfield have a whole playing budget £200K this season but that Eastleigh centre forward is on more than that alone and is not their best paid player.

I have no idea on budget but the chairman at Eastleigh has invested very heavily in the club to improve both the facilities and the playing staff. Not being a regular there as I am usually at Bees games I found my visit to the Spitfires a good afternoon's entertainment with 2 sides trying to play football on the deck and also value for money.(£7.50 for old gits which is their regular price - not lowered because of Non League Day).Located where it is match day parking needs an awful lot of improvement as the current car park is totally inadequate especially if they hope to get higher attendances. (1300 there on Saturday).

One touch which I thought was nice for the supporters was that the chairman donated their TV money to the Travel Club to subsidise the cost of coaches for away games.

I certainly would go again if it didn't clash with Bees games and only takes me 10-15 minutes to get there.

James Constable is their main striker and coming from Oxford Utd where he was leading goalscorer I would imagine he is not earning peanuts.

International Break

double header was not bad even thought I'm tee total at the minute .

wasps was very unlucky

and the quins and irish was a shocking game really for top flight rugby .

roll on the footy again

The 2nd game is always rubbish. Glad I could go this year and even better that Quins are playing Sarries at the Stoop on Friday night.

International Break

Well that was an awfully dull weekend. It would help if they actually scheduled the International matches for Saturday afternoons so at least there is something to watch. Can't even remotely feign an interest anymore at League 1 or 2 anymore.

More to come in October and November.....

International Break

I am sure it has been mentioned before, but here we are in mid-September and have only played 2 (two) home league matches!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

International Break

The next International Break has a double header of the Euro 2016 qualies
6 consecutive days live on Sky

As far as England we have San Marino at Wembley on a Thurs
Does not really count as a match
When Rooney gets the top scorer of all time
Just remember who he plays against !!!

yep got to agree I found this international break harder than any pre-season. Must be the heady atmosphere of the championship

International Break

quiet like these, maybe it's because we've won the previous match both times but a good chance for the players to rest esp players like jd and to work on any minor injuries

If people ever get stuck for things to do then you really must check out Wanderers FC.

The historians amongst you will know that they won the first ever FA Cup in 1872, winning it 4 more times... (That's as many times as Everton and Man City!)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wanderers_F.C.

The club folded in 1887 only to be re-formed (with the approval of descendants of those involved with the original club) and having started out as a charity side now compete in the Surrey South Eastern Combination having achieved back to back promotions.

They are due to ground share with AFC Croydon Athletic from next month (October 2014)...

(No fixture this weekend but something for future blank weekends or if you don't fancy a bees away day!)

International Break

Does anyone know how many players will Wigan have playing any internationals this/next week ?

Hoping for some injuries !

International Break

These breaks confuse me as I tend to remember weekends during the season by who Brentford had, last weekend is lost to me lol

Plus the England fixtures for the next year have to be the dullest set.. San Marino, Estonia, Slovenia and Lithuania.. cant barely be bothered to watch let alone get excited by them...

International Break

Boring at bat sh*t - At least i have few season long bets in the lower leagues to keep my eye on - but it seems like ages since we last played :(

International Break

Don't think they are necessarily a bad thing. Given that we probably have one of the smaller squads in this division it gives us a chance to be able to get injured players and those suffering from knocks back to fitness. With our strongest 14/15 available I believe we can compete with anyone but this would not be possible imo if we were having to play through games with too many injured players, where the bigger teams with the bigger squads have the resources to manage this better. However, having said all this I do miss the weekends where we are not playing......
