IPL starts tomorrow. Big money talks over health concerns with Covid rapidly spreading over India in particular Mumbai at the moment. I can see some games called off if it spreads in a team/ camp.

Another excellent game today. Was watching in part with the Bees game. Woakes bowled superbly for Delhi and was interesting seeing Tom Curran bowl to Sam Curran. Some real pluses for England with the performances of Woakes with the ball and Moeen & Sam Curran with the bat. Delhi runners up last year look to have another settled and great side. Shaw's innings was amazing.

Out of all the young talented batsmen for India - he is the best of them all. Thought he was hard done by being dropped from the India side after the 1st test in Australia. A serious talent that will play for India in many years to come.

Bang average game - 37 runs off an over, 3 wickets and a run out . Can't believe he doesn't get into India's side in all formats - got to be in the top 3 all rounders in world cricket with Stokes and Holder.

But he does get in all formats. Just injuries in the last year. Should be in the tests this summer ahead of Patel.

The stats say he is better than both Stokes and Holder since 2016 in tests at least.

I suspect a lot of Australian overseas players in the county championships if they are not allowed back into Australia.

Probably the right decision but a real shame that the Indian public can't have this distraction from the situation over there.

Right decision more so as many players have families that are now affected by the situation and wanted to go back to their hometown. Ashwin already withdrew from the IPL last week to help with the situation in his wider family.

Lots of anger amongst Australian players, coaches and broadcasters out for the IPL as the Australian Govt are not letting them back in at the moment. Michael Slater tweet last night was revealing in his anger.

As @Les Beeavinu said above a slight shame as the IPL did provide some relief to people and it was a good distraction as was the football was here in January and February.

Let’s not use race here Ed. There have been many cases of Australians stuck in US and UK whom have not been able to go back. Some have been stranded over a year.

But it is extraordinary banning it’s own citizens whom are prepared to be quarantined to arrive back.

He went to work and was giving permission to leave Australia for work. There are thousands of people in the UK travelling each day overseas for work. If they got stranded you would expect them to be able to return home. That is what he is asking.
