Ipswich Town

The only time I have seen a contrasting record like that is on an old version of Championship Manager.

Ipswich would have only needed to pick up a few wins on the road and they would be walking that league!

Ipswich Town

When we have a record like that the following season is the complete opposite.

Ipswich Town

Should be a good game at Portman Road tomorrow with Portsmouth and their great away record coming to town.

Ipswich Town

I will be snapping there so will tell you first hand.

Ipswich Town

That is unbelievable that they haven't won any away games.....

There is hope for us yet..............

Ipswich Town

Yeah, Halsey by all accounts :nono:

Ipswich Town

Played with 10 men most of the game so it could have been a lot worse then 1-0

The usual fare from him today. One of the stewards told me he had brought along with him twenty, yes twenty, of his family and friends to watch the game at Ipswich's expense.

They had an interview with him in the programme and guess who he supports? QPR.

Pompey did a professional job on the tractor boys but their away support was silent all game.

From my experience officiating at league clubs they will give a couple of complimentaries as a matter of course, after that you pay unless the club is feeling generous. No referee would ask for 20, and if he did he wouldn't get them.

The sending off was ridiculous though. A bit like Starosta's the other week I thought.

Ipswich Town chief executive Simon Clegg says he has made contact with potential replacements for Paul Jewell from "a long list of about 34 names".

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20068840

It actually puts into perspective how many unemployed managers there are out there (though the list probably includes managers currently in jobs) and also how few managers there are on the "merry go round". I bet MA is on their radar, he's a master at arresting slumps and has unfinished business at Championship level.

Ipswich Town

Butcher mentioned too.

Ipswich Town

Really thought they would be a force the last couple of seasons, Paul Jewell's rep will be in tatters after his stint there
.
