In health (as I am sure exists in many industries) there are agreed grading systems of evidence to give some sort of validity to claims ranging from an A for meta analysis of randomised controlled, well-designed research trials down to a D for expert opinion (SIGN or NICE guidelines for example www.sign.ac.uk www.nice.org.uk)

May I propose a similar voluntary grading for information, here, on the GPG; especially information relating to transfer activity in and out of the club, and the development of Susan.

I have notionally called it the ITK Index and present a draft below. Please feel free to add to or amend the detail, enhance the name, ignore or ridicule the idea. One day someone may even use it to help make things clearer for their fellow fan

And yes, I fully appreciate - that in the grand scheme of things - it's very nerdy and geeky of me, but this sort of thing cooks my goose.

The ITK Index

A+ From both clubs - official statement

A Information from within the club (club official) confirming that the player has signed but prior to official statement being released

A- Information from within the club (employee) noting that the player has signed

B+ Information from club source noting a pending nailed on acquisition

B Information from club source noting interest/engagement with/stalking of a player

C Agent talk

D+ Social media gossip from "reliable" journalist/source

D Pub talk/a mate with uncorroborated links to club/other clubs

D- Social media gossip no evidence, potential trolling/Bertie Big Bollox/wannabe itk

E Personal opinion for expressing opinions sake, no substance, containing psychologically flawed biases, only accurate through chance (Google "cause and correlation")

F Made up cock - BS

Exactly, it's the same with the SIGN and NICE health related guidelines, it helps separate the wheat from the chaff and assists the reader to focus on the quality of the information

For future reference on my posts - I am definitely not ITK, and I don't really want to be ITK about what ITK really means.

PS (Pure Speculation): why do I have the feeling that those ITK get their information from someone at the club leaking it? Unless it's an official leak, that makes someone at the club very disloyal (if you see what I mean).
