Jack Lester

I hear we might be making a move for the lad!

am I right in thinking he is a striker?

Jack Lester

In that case he probably isn't a very good signing!

Back to the drawing board Wally!:nono:

Jack Lester

He's a striker, who played for Forest last year and played for Grimsby for quite a few years.

I don't believe this TBH, he'll be on silly money.

Jack Lester

I've never heard of him, so he can't be that good a signing but i place all faith in Wally, he knows what he is doing.

Jack Lester

Decent player with reasonable amount of experience, would be expected to do very well at our level. Would be surprised if he's in our price range, but who knows?

Jack Lester

One thing which might be in our favour is he is a local lad and his godfather sits near me at GP and has said for sometime that Jack wants to return to this part of the world!!!

Jack Lester

Been very impressed when I've seen him on the box. Would be extremely surprised, and pleased, if we were to sign him.

Please dont ever, ever, insult Fagin again. The sillver thief , is what you find on the end of your bogbrush.

Jack Lester

He was a first teamer at Forest released due to his wages- no chance of coming to Brentford:nono:

Local lad? Born in Sheffield, according to Soccerbase.

I believe he moved down here at a very young age, trust me i've known this bloke from as long as I can remember and he has always talked a lot about how Jack has been doing and what a nice bloke he is.

Jack Lester is from Sheffield, and was mates with my girlfriend. He went to Grimsby after he left school, with high hopes of making it.
Decent player. Bit of a bighead. Very intelligent person though (I think he got straight A's at A-levels) and would be an asset at GP. Big Wednesday fan.

don't care what he got in his alevels - as long as he scores goals!:D

Jack Lester is a good quality Division 1 player - skillful, with the ability to beat players and with a decent goalscoring record. Although he can play up front, last season Forest mainly played him 'in the hole' behind Johnson and Harewood but he found his first team opportunities limited especially with the arrival of Darren Huckerby. Bit of a temper on him - sent off a couple of times.

As for moving to London on £500 a week - forget it. Rumours are that Bristol City may be interested which is much more plausible.

Bush tuckerman were did you get this info from?

Cant see Forest getting rid of Jack Lester and how will we pay his high wages? If he did join Brentford he would be a good player for the yongsters to look up to.

Not sure...was pretty sceptical myself...however I thought I'd stick it up here anyway!

Was a little down heartened by our relative lack of activity in the transfer market and would like us to make an exciting signing...so wanted to believe this one!!

Sorry to bump an old thread, but Jack Lester, a player who infuriated quite a few Bees, scored his first goal for Gateshead on Saturday, after being tempted out of retirement.
The 38 year old, who inspired Olympic trunk wearer Tom Daley

His "against" Brentford record reads 9 games 5 wins 1 draw 3 losses 1 goal

Thanks for this, this is back when football was fun and we had the likes of Jack, Julian Alsop and a Banana.
