Local paper here in Cambridge claim Brentford interested in signing above from local Blue Square North side Histon

Played in the dev squad recently I think. But didn't feature in the game yesterday...

He's only 18 and plays for the Histon youth team who are very good, they got knocked out of a youth cup by Liverpool a few weeks ago. He featured in some of the youth games for us then for the Dev squad. Did well in all the games as reported on the BFC site. Not sure if he'll be offered anything at the moment. I spoke to the Histon Chairman at a family do the other weekend and said they have an even better youngster who has been training with West Ham a couple of weeks ago and they are keeping tabs on him, he's also coming down to train with us this week. They have a good set up at Histon with some very good players would be nice to get them as a feeder club and nick some youngsters away from Norwich and Ipswich in that area.

I saw this too in a different forum. The player who has gone to West Ham is a midfielder called Nick Freeman. I work as a part time scout for the club in the Peterborough and Cambridge area, but mostly concentrate on the younger age groups. I have told my contacts that I will keep an eye on the situation and also look at other players in the club. I watched the u-12's recently and spotted a decent player playing for the opposition that I am trying to bring to Brentford for a trial. Also St Neots have now set up an academy link with Norwich so the juniors in this area are being watched by more and more clubs not just Peterborough.

Yep NLB, Reg gave out the other lads name last week he's Nick Freeman and is a quality player who is according to y contacts at Histon is even better. He's down this or last week training.

On your other point Histon have a fantastic youth development set up.

I'm guessing the development squad players, whose contracts are up, are: Pierre, Reeves, Oyeleke, Norris, Griffiths, Redwood and German?

The name I've been hearing is a young striker called Matty Watters

Had forgotten all about him, thought the deal had fallen through as apparently a friendly with Histon was supposed to be part of it. He's out injured.
