Jake Bidwell
No, knowing our luck, he's probably still on the pitch, playing a blinder and has scored a double hat-trick by now!Just have, I'll let you know. Everton were 3 up early on so he's probably been subbed.

That will then solve our striker problem!!!!
Unless you've inside info, the only disrupting that's going on is to the message board/supporters guesses. I doubt the management team are sitting anxiously waiting for texts/calls etc.
Ask him how's he doing?
I certainly don't have "inside info". All I'm suggesting is that if nothing happens before the Germany trip, the pre-season warm-up programme will be all-but-finished before we have anyone to play at left-back and I would think that's far from ideal. The only real option for left-back (assuming that Craig needs to be bedded in at central defence as that's where he says he been bought to play), is Pim and it's pretty obvious that he's not in Rosler's plans. In fact, I do wonder whether he would even travel to Germany if there was anyone else?
I would love Bidwell to return - but soon!
No, it wouldn't, because they'd be keeping him! That will then solve our striker problem!!!!

Think we need to chill. The Craig aquisition came out of nowhere and it seems that the club are pretty good at keeping the lid on things, for the most part, to avoid letting other interested parties in on the act and getting scuppered as would seem to have happened with Robertson.
I am sure that the LB situation is being addressed and that come the opening day A.N Other will be on the teamsheet.

Had expected to know by now...
Maybe with the cancellation of Pim and Woodman's contracts, we are freeing up the wage bill to actually sign him instead of loan him...
A nice thought but would Everton really sell him AND Forshaw? Fingers crossed!

In my opinion, the only way we can get Bidwell is if we buy him. Why would Everton want to loan to a level that he's already succeeded at? He'll either be on their subs bench or they'll get rid. I think he'll be loaned to a championship team unless we can purchase him.

Surely Everton know what they want to do by now ???
It may depend on Baines - lots of press speculation about him joining United and until that's played out they might not want to agree to a season long loan until they have adequate cover. They can't recall him so why rush to get him out just because we want him now?
Wheels within wheels . Us signing Bidwell is now somehow dependent on some lad getting a chance at Man U?! This is like exchanging on a house!
See I heard Rob Brady is getting a chance at Man U because Blackburn are interested in him so Ferguson is getting him in the old shop front window. But Blackurn buying him depends if they can offload want away ex QPR defender Bradley Orr. Orr has been sniffed about by Millwall who could pick up interest as they are looking for more defensive cover..... but wait! They just signed Osbouuurne!
And so the house of cards falls down.
I highly doubt we'd buy Bidwell but if we did it'd be an amazing signing.
Although Bidwell is of different class, we all thought the same about Dickson, did we not?
Currently he is out of contract and it seems Everton are dithering which is not that positive from his point of view.Mind you others will be interested in him.
Is he!? I thought he had one!
So he is technically just on trial at Everton atm?
Technically yes,but obviously he hopes to get his contract renewed. If not we could be in for a bidding war with other clubs.
Checking the recent census results it does indeed state there are now only around 27 native left backs left in this country down from 157 in 2002.
it is actually far easier these days to sign on than pull on a pair of footie boots![]()

If he's out of contract - wouldn't he be a free agent? Where's the bidding war?

Why don't we sign the Brighton Lad, best left back I've seen in a while???????????????

How far is Charlie Adams away from the first team? Will we see him pre-season. meant to be a good un and a left back
no as he is under 24.
If someone came in for him, then in theory that would mean that Everton would have to offer something to be able to get compensation and as a Premier League team and him being an England U19 international could probably command a small 7 figure sum. If we tested Evertons resolve with offering Jake a contract, then that may well piss Everton off and they won't trust us again. The other option for Everton is to naturally release him and they get nothing. The only thing that is worrying really for Jake is surely, now, he doesn't get paid unless he is now on a month by month contract with Everton who still holds his registration.
Thought he was a centre mid?
