Listen. It’s all about opinions, however mine is right. ???? For the record I have despised him since his preening after the goal he scored here for Norwich but no denying he is talented.

There are too many better players ahead of him. He’s not going to get ahead of Grealish, Mount, Foden, Rice, Phillips etc any time soon.

I'm not a massive fan of Southgate as a manager but he seems a decent bloke. I can't imagine that Maddison's character goes down well with him at all..

Yep, I always think that one is a bit strange given that he has been capped..... but I still sing it.

I really rate Maddison as a player but thought that yesterday was his least effective game against us, he'll never play for England....... again.

He is a good player yes,but a total knob,but he wants to be a knob too and enjoys being one so much he admits it.

Surprised no one has mentioned his actions after the ball hitting the referee. He was alert before any other of their players.

From the highlights you can see how grudgingly he congratulates the stately house for his goal, wishing it was him scoring a worldie so the bar codes would up their bid for him

He’s been winding me (us) up since his early days at Norwich. Just because he’s good, doesn’t mean we have to like him!
Interesting analysis on MOTD2 (Murphy) last night:-
Most English goals + assists 2022 - after Kane. (Ivan 3rd!).
Dark horse for the WC as a game-changing supersub?
We’ll see. At least they should be under lock and key in Arabia, with limited opportunity for dickheadery.

If he weren’t such a horrible little man it’d be easier to acknowledge how good a player he is. If he were ours we’d love him.

100% and another that if he played for us we’d love him as a special player who can change games.
Their fans see it and get why other clubs hate and funnily enough the ones we were talking to reserve a special hatred for Robbie Savage who kissed the Blackburn badge when he returned for the first time.

Reminds me of Grealish at Villa. Always in the middle of it making things tick, moving the ball, spreading the play and both w***ers too :D

All of which he continued to do after he’d been cautioned. As I said elsewhere, no point in having this new approach from officials if they bottle giving second yellow cards to obnoxious turds like Maddison.

I told a Spurs colleague that he can look forward to Maddison scoring a goal from a free kick after jumping into one of our defenders to get contact.

And it pretty much happened! Again!

We really must not go anywhere near him in future. He has the referees round his little finger.

The constant complaining at the ref annoys me but I was bothered a little less today as he booked him for it. Would have been nice to see him sent off but he toned it down after that, so it has the desired effect.

Whilst he’s an annoying little fecker, there’s not many ‘characters’ in the game these days so it’s almost refreshing when you do get the odd one, even a pantomime villain type.
