And how much were we paying for that privelege? It's partly what got us here in the first place.

Having seen Kitamarike, Tillen & Keenan, cannot say that they looked any better than some youngsters coming through from our youth set up.

I don't see how spending a little more on quality coaching could be a bad thing? Just think about those players from the Coppell/Lewington era and how much we could have made from them if we'd sold them while still under contract..

This lad was with us for two weeks and unfortunately we did not take up an option on him for a loan agreement. He is from Hanwell and best mates with Mancienne who is on loan at QPR from Chelsea. They both played for England schoolboys and went I believe to school in Hounslow. (poss St. Marks)
He looked good in training as I said before and I just hope he does not take the championship by storm or it will leave some at BFC with severe egg on their face!

Both were in the same class as my younger sibling, Who was under instructions from myself to casually advise what a great club Brentford would be to join!

For what it's worth I don't think he's what is needed at the moment, We need experienced pro's.

heard a rumour he played for old actonians in the southern amateur league the other day

dont know if its true or not! (hes still on chelseas books by the way)

Then he's in trouble if he's still on their books. Isn't this just chinese whispers and it was really his cousin?

very possibly only chinese whispers, but not unknown for pros and semi pros to help out mates in Sunday league !!!

One of the finest sides I ever faced, I was a half decent centre forward but I never made it out of our box whilst defending the onslaught from these giants of the local leagues.:sorted:

Can you confirm the rumour that the Neil Shipperley we saw in 2006/7 was in fact, not the professional Neil Shipperley, but an unprofessional Neil Shipperley instead :wave: :confused:

to be fair to any of the lads that go to the hoddle academy, they are at least trying to keep a future in the game open to them, which suggests a better attitude than some younger players
