Absolutely. Bearing in mind how isolated he was, I thought he still gave us quite a hard time. A proper genuine hard Number 9 with a bit of skill about him too.

Played well and deserved his goal. We saw very little of him when he was on loan to us, so I had no view either way when he left

Nothing like Hayes, Spencer's game was all about winning the ball and then holding it up. He had real presence and was a decent targetman.

Hayes even at his best was more of a linkman or inside forward playing off or even behind another striker.

He was one of the better forwards I saw at GP last year.
