Jason Crowe

He's been released by Portsmouth.

He had a cracking start to the season for them, hen got injured and couldn't get back in the side - no shame in that.

IMO, he's one of the best players I've seen at GP (although the rest of the team were playing such sh*te when he was here that it wasn't difficult to look good) - right up there with Herman. He's certainly worth a look, and he's versatile, and he'd probably come... Oh, and he's only 24 still!

I agree, he looked good when he was here before.

I presume it will be the usual story of not expecting to sign anybody unless they are under 20 with no league experience. Seems a bit unlikely he would play for £25k a year with his background - didn't he start at Arsenal.

We do need cover at right back though and if the money is right he would seem to fit the bill......................

Cue several messages about it being Wally and Wally alone who can pick the team. (along with Matt Somners Dad presumably).

Big surprise

Crowe was an excellent player.
We will have no chance signing Crowe:(

I see Rushden are going to sign Rodney Jack:eek:

Jason Crowe

Fairly surprising they let him go, I thought he was in their first team earlier this season.

No chance of him coming here, as he will do a job at Div 1, and we pay Conference money.

Jason Crowe

It would be great if we could get him but i think it's highly unlikely. Whenever i've seen him play on tv hes looked really good, i think he scores the odd goal too. He'd be a major asset, but i can't see it happening

Jason Crowe

Excellent player. doubt he will want to come back to us. sign him if we can!

Jason Crowe

Can't understand Pompey releasing him as he could do a job in the Premier League. Wouldn't surprise me to see him at Cardiff if they get promoted ....

Jason Crowe

Doubt that we could afford him, but was a fantastic player in his time here. Hope that he finds a decent club.

I saw the ceefax stated that he had been released and immediatly thought what a great pre season signing he would be. Then realised i supported Brentford.

Love to see him back but note to 0 chance !!!

Jason Crowe

he started well :)

then went backwards

not worth signing in my opinion :nono: :nono:

Jason Crowe

No chance he would come to us (even if Wally was aware of him!) but would love to see him at GP as IMO was the best right back I have seen play for the Bees

Jason Crowe

Go on Wally, make an inquiry at least!
The man's class, is not earning a wage and would allow Dobbo To go to central midfield (where many want to see him)

What do you expect when when we have an overdraft of around £4 million? Hull City nearly went bust eighteen months ago for a third of that debt.

I would find it a surprise to find Crowe at GP come August. We already have a right-back in Michael Dobson plus a ready replacement in........Matt Somner! Danny Allen-Page could also come in and do a job.
