We made eye contact, but I don't think he recognised me.

I don't often laugh out loud, but thanks for giving me a grin. I do enjoy silly jokes..ho hum!

Erm...he lives in Motspur Park which is technically Surrey but in reality a 30's suburban sprawl between Morden and New Malden, and about half a mile from F*lham's training ground (which obviously further undermines its status). Not exactly stockbroker belt.

sorry Apathetic Bee should rename you slowbee, did indeed grow up in Motspur Park not stockbroker belt but nice enough, has since moved, now very very nice.

I thought he still lived in West Barnes. Oh well, we're obviously paying him too much! (BTW, wasn't criticising Motspur Park, I live in a 30s suburban sprawl myself).

Tabbster is a ledgend :sorted:

Don't want to abuse three bees players in a row.. even for wind-up purposes

West Barnes?, Motspur Park?.

Mr Tabb now lives near Weybridge. He was recently accosted by my driver at his local petrol station.

Jay likes the area but needs to be educated on where to get a decent curry;)

How do manage to sneak into the area undetected?, I must have a word with the border guards;)

Jay Tabb

as mentioned elsewhere on the GPG recently, i am a master of disguise (in my spare time) - this will also reap rewards when the Tabb Stalking Plan is fully operational :sorted:

I think it's called Foo's Palace more or less opposite Waitrose on the main drag thru Weybridge .

Recommended :sorted:

 Theres always one.

When you come back in your next life, ask for a sense of humour and a take away guide for the Weybridge area.

Scored after eight minutes on Coventry's pre season tour of America - against the Portland Timbers. Bet he would rather have been at Staines Town.

any chance of a link? :(

Nice piece on Tabby today, under the heading The boy's a bit special.

Wish Mickey Adams thought so. Went to the Ricoh today and was surprised to find Tabby not only on the bench but not even given the chance to get on. Chris Birchill however (despite having only signed on Friday) played the first hour or so

Perhaps if that continues we can get him back on loan

Jay Tabb

I see on the BBC site he got booked. I wonder which Leeds superstar's cage he rattled.
I'll keep an eye out for Championship footy tomorrow now.

Hi and good luck

Thanks Jay,
Good for you posting message. One of the most exciting young players at GP in my47 years of support and my 21 year old daughter Hanna really regrets not meeting you
very best wishes and great luck at Coventry

Good on you Jay, worth the wait for the Sky Blues now grab your chance and set yourself up for a premiership career:sorted:

Got this from a Coventry fan on another forum. :)

Jay Tabb made his first start for us today, after having a double hernia operation, and he was fantastic for us. Won the Man of the match award. He played on the left of midfield, drifted in quite a lot and caused Leeds plenty of problems. Got an assist for Stern John's goal too.

I know how much you loved Jay, so I thought you would be interested by it.

Tabb in Rep of Ireland squad

Just read on the FAI site that Tabby's been called up because of injuries. I know he don't play for the Bees anymore but I'm really pleased with the lad. Hope he gets a game.

Jay Tabb

Well done Jay but we're doomed

Great news for Mr Tabb.Well done. :sorted: Unfortunately his call up is more to do with our lack of depth in the squad than what he has done for Coventry this season. :(

I don't think he'll play against Cyprus on Saturday or the Czech Republic next Wednesday. If we're lucky we might just scrape a win against the Cypriots on Saturday but if you like a punt you might want to check out the prices on Cyprus to win.

Jay Tabb

Bloody Pedants

I thought Ireland had changed from the punt to the euro:confused:

Anyway, good luck Tabby and good luck Ireland (whether or not JT plays)

I knew I should have used the word gamble instead. :D I think Ireland will need all the luck that's going over the next 2 international matches.

Jay Tabb

Tabby does not seem to have been playing all that much this season

I don't know how with Shay Given, Steve Finnan, Richard Dunne, Steven Reid, Damien Duff, Aiden McGeady, Robbie Keane and Kevin Doyle in our best XI we can be so pessemistic. Those 8 players would easily make up a top 6 premiership team. If you were to list the top 3 players in every position in the premiership I think Given, Finnan and Duff would be in there. Keane and Dunne would make the top 10 while Reid is a very good player. Doyle has done so well since moving to England and is the star of the Reading team. McGeady, who's future was at doubt 12 months ago, has been nothing short of a revelation this season and the best player in the SPL so far. I'm 100% sure he'll be our star player within a few years, having seen pretty much every game he has played.

Then you have the likes of John O'Shea and Ian Harte to fill out the rest of the team. We have a very good team on paper and should definitely be there or thereabouts on the last day of qualifying.

I don't expect us to win comfortably in Cyprus. We were the last team to win by more than 2 in Cyprus and that was 5 years ago. I think if we had a decent manager in charge we'd be favourites to beat the Czechs but Staunton seems a bit clueless to say the least.

The wilderness backon

I don't know how with Shay Given, Steve Finnan, Richard Dunne, Steven Reid, Damien Duff, Aiden McGeady, Robbie Keane and Kevin Doyle in our best XI we can be so pessemistic. .

In the short term (i.e vs Cyprus) we will be without Given,Reid and Doyle.Doyle might be back for the game with the Czech's though.Marvellous.

Longer term I think we have major problems with the spine of the team.Dunne is a good enough centre back but does not have a reliable centre back partner.Andy O'Brien is simply not international standard,Breen has had his day and Staunton deems Paddy McCarthy at Leicester "not ready" for this level. In central midfield we continue to persist with Kevin "oh look I had one great game vs France" Kilbane and Graham Kavanagh. They are not good enough IMHO.As for the others O'Shea is no more than a utility player,Carsley....well enough said about the crab.Steven Reid is a good player there but hasn't a great injury record whilst Stephen Ireland falls into the category of "talented but unproven" at this level.Up front Keane shoulders too much of the workload and suffers as a result.Doyle does indeed so signs of promise. As for the rest Morrison can't even make his club side's first X1 on a regular basis,Doherty.....the kindest thing I can say about him is that he's a utility player. In short he's not international class,Alan Lee needs regular football whilst the others.....oh yeah what others?

I haven't even started on Steve Staunton yet but let's just say that his appointment did not strike me with enthusiasm when it happened and I have my doubts whether he's up to the task.

We do not have a very good team on paper wheels. We have 1 world class player in Shay Given, who incidentally saved us the last time we played Cyprus, and 2 very good international players in Duff and Keane.

Jay Tabb

That'll teach me

Oh yeah and that title should be "The wilderness beckons".Unfortunately I hit the wrong button. :blush

We have little chance of qualifying for Euro 2008 and our future prospects are not good in the short to medium term.

Prediction for Saturday.Cyprus 1 Ireland 2....although we virtually never win when our games get shown on TV3. :(
