Jimmy Corbett

[JonnoTheBee]

Blackburn released the right winger recently, and apparently Gillingham are interested in taking him back. I think he's in his early 20's and apparently very talented and if Gillingham don't sign him he could be up our street. Obviously we'd have to sell before we could buy but he could be tempted to come down the divisions if first team football is guarenteed. I read about him a while back in 'Four Four Two' and hes thought as a great prospect. So what do you think?

[Edmundo]

Is he Ronnie's son?

[Angel]

I think your getting confused with Jay Tabb (after he went to depol!)

[Bush Tuckerman]

There is a profile of the mystery man at:

Looks promising, fitness a bit of a worry though!!

A quick word about Corbett: it's rumoured he'll be training with GFC pre-season so Any Hessenthaler can have a look at his fitness, although I've also heard it said that he and Hess don't get on so there's no chance he'll come back. He's also rumoured to like a beer or two and not be the world's most dedicated trainer.

Blackburn paid over half a million for him before he'd turned 19. Since then he's had a couple of bad injuries so there's no telling whether he'll be the same player: hence the pre-season trial. His main asset was genuine pace; he can play left or right side, midfield or wingback and scored a few goals for us, but looked a bit lightweight.
