Another one day century today, this time in a semi final but still not a sniff of a place in the England one day squad.

Why's that then? He's not Dutch is he?

But then again, with the kicking he gave Surrey in the week, I rather wish they had.

I thought that to be classified as a Kolpak player, they had to retire from international cricket. Jacques Rudolph has done the same. Whether it's a South African thing, I don't know.

Yes, I think you're probably correct in that. I seem to recall that Rudolph had to commit to Yorkshire for at least two years and the same probably applies to other Kolpaks.

Kent looking to have a good season in the one day stuff certainly, just a bit surprised that Key doesn't appear to having a particularly great season (although I admit to not bothering to have checked the stats, it just appears that way).

Back to your original point however, Denly does look a great prospect. He went off the boil a little towards the end of last season but given his progress overall that might seem a little churlish, but it is certainly good to see him kicking on this season.

I should have thought he was a certainty for England in a year or two if he continues like this. Mind you the way the England middle order has been playing recently could be sooner and with the prospect of facing the SA pacemen it could be a telling time for one or two of our batters.
