John Huggins RIP

I hear that John Huggins has passed away.
John was a stalwart of many supporter causes of the years: shaking buckets in the bad old days; ex Bees United Board; and, with his family, following the team all over the country though the thick and the very thin days.
A very sad day indeed, a great character who will be sadly missed.

He loved our Club with a passion.
Thoughts and prayers are with John and his family.

Only thing is he was 90 and I don't think the 90th minute would work.

I’m a long term supporter but was remote due to location is the dark days. With people like John and 100’s more ( many on here ) I / we wouldn’t have the club I / we love . Rest in peace and love to all of you that put your life and soul in keeping the club alive when it really, really was so needed and important.

This is a lovely interview with a lovely man who speaks for so many of us. And it catches that moment before we knew we would make the Premiership. Applause on 90 minutes would be great - I’m sure John will ensure we’re home and hosed by then.

Also a lovely picture of the much missed Feltham John (John Anderson), who due to poor health never got to truly enjoy Lionel Road.
For me these old guys/girls who we are losing are just as important in the history of BFC as Matthew Benham.
