I lost a ten note last night by betting that John Moncur had never played for Brentford in his career - Turns out he had - On loan on 19/10/1989. Played 6 games, scoring 1 goal. :mad1:

AFIR he played at Blackpool in November that season - they scored after 40 seconds, we lost 4-0, it rained all match, Bates sent off. We were dreadful on the day. The only highlight for Bees fans was making the life of a steward a complete misery after he made the mistake of trying to take the **** out of us whilst protected by the fence around the pitch.

Oh and I got a parking ticket.

I think he played for us at Shrewsbury once & was really sh*te if I remember rightly.

He was actually quite good - Perryman had been watching him for a while and he came with view to signing but the board didn't want to cough up the cash. i think this and the left back from Fulham deal that fell through - Gary.... were what led to Perryman walking
