Bit of an enigma is John Terry it seems to me. A lot of people say he a nasty piece of work etc but have they actually met him? Sure his publicized private life shapes what people/ the media think of him but how much of that is hypocrisy, particularly over his affair with Bridges' ex partner? not good but it hardly puts him in a small category of bad guys.
I have read from people who have actually met him or know him and they paint a very different picture...so who is the real John Terry?
I cannot see him going to Rio even though we need him, given how the media will react, it would just not work for all parties.
I don't buy though this idea we should send out the youngsters to get some experience. We have spent two hard years qualifying for the biggest show on earth and they owe to everyone to do the best they can in the tournament, not least the England fans who will be spending a fortune out there. Football is unpredictable and there is no reason why we shouldn't exceed expectations.
