looks like Fabio want him back as England's Captian, Rio is fuming... I think he's had his chance and the players wont back him, especially after speaking out in the last world cup![]()
, Rio is fuming... :
he might have had a leg to stand on if he was ever fit enough to play....most of the England team are an insult to the country and we may aswell not play with a captain
.............................talentless knob............................
agree give it back to Terry, but he never should have lost the band.
he lost respect everywhere for what he did...
true leader who wears his heart on his sleeve
You'll have to be more specific - quite a bit more specific in fact.
Ive heard from a relative who works in the football media, that there is another Terry story to come yet, but the press are waiting for the right moment. He doesnt know the specifics but needless to say it wont be complimentary

Got to say i feel sorry for Rio, hes the captain of England and he gets dumped for being injured, hardly instills loyalty in your play. But from what ive seen its about par the course from Fabio. I would never let Terry in as captain, in fact i wouldnt even have him in the England team, he's so painfully slow, and cannot deal with a world class forward, time to put the donkey out to grass. I would have sticked with Rio, but if not Rio i would have gone for Jack Wilshere.

who can't keep his cock in his pants... like sweeps says I hate seeing him on TV... he's one hated man I bet..
Regardless of what he might be like as a person off the field, on it he's the consummate professional and a natural leader. He's the best man for the job IMO.
OK, you are the England manager; you need to select a captain to lead the team through to the 2012 UEFA European Football Championship; he needs to be experienced; he needs to be a regular player in the first eleven; he needs to be a natural leader... please nominate...All i hear is he is a natural leader...

I will boo him at Eng v Ghana whether he's captain or not. Hate the bloke, arrogant W****r
Well said, he is a great player. He shagged sh*tty Wayne Bridge's EX bird. So fooking what. Should never have had the arm band taken away in the first place.
i'm also astonished that John "Weak-Link" Terry is suddenly being talked of as a great player![]()
i think i'm nominating "does it really matter? let's talk about it game-by-game"

What does an England captain do apart from belt out the national anthem and shout "COME ON!!!" when going up for corners?

... please nominate...Why does he need to be experienced? And why look for a leader for a year and a bit? If you are looking to replace Rio then at this point id be looking long term, not short term which Terry is. Why not find a captain that will take us to the next World Cup

No, and I'm not supporting him. I'm just pointing out that having a moan about Terry because you don't like him very much is not very helpful when discussing the position of England captain. If someone has to be captain, then there has to be nominations; I can't see anyone and, judging by this thread, no-one else can. Jack Wilshire is the only proposition and he's a bit "fresh".[stuff]... do you think he is getting quicker then?
i think i'm nominating "does it really matter? let's talk about it game-by-game"
To be honest Capello hasn't really given anyone else a proper run out apart from Wilshire so it is a bit difficult to choose a captain.
I personally would start a complete rebuilding process to be honest. Terry, Lampard, Gerrard, Rio, etc they have all been part of a failed regime. Eriksson tried, Maclaren tired and now Capello tried, these players will win us f-all, so why not win f-all whilst rebuilding a possible team with younger players that can move forwards.
Maybe Gary Cahill as at least he will still be of a resonable age for the next Euros and World Cup. I don't know but Terry is not the answer now and will not be the answer long term either.
Is an option but then it becomes meaningless... and the tabloids won't have someone to target! My main point is that there is not an obvious choice, which is more of a worry.does it really matter? Let's talk about it game-by-game.
