A move to Huddersfield makes total sense as he is Yorkshire based and Alan Lee faces a 3 game ban. I would think that if Huddersfield go up this could become a permanent deal assuming they can afford his wages

Striker what striker?

Why all the interest in what striker we're after, I've been watching Brentford for nearly 40 years and (correct me if I'm wrong) but I can't remember any manager in that time who's played one up front in home games, besides that Herr Rosler has gone on record as saying he's satisfied with the current striking options.

Of course he has - that doesn't mean he is not trying to augment them though

Also young Philliskirk at Chelsea would be a good aquisition imo to do exactly for Donaldson what Lee does for Rhodes.

He was released from Chelsea after finishing his contract with them and later joined Sheffield United, as promised, on a free transfer. In his first full season at Bramall Lane however he found first team opportunities limited and agreed to re-join Oxford United on a months loan in October 2011 making four appearances for the Us

Gone to Huddersfield on a month's loan ,as if they need another striker!

Parkin is a no brainer for Huddersfield as he is based locally and is a like for like replacement for Lee.

I know he has been mentioned on the GPG but have no idea if he was seriously considered but I believe that he is on very decent Championship-level wages and would be well out of our reach given our current budget and the extra strain that has been put on it lately.

Tottenham youth team had a striker that would fit the bill two seasons ago who must now be in their reserves. Big Scandinavian type.

Don't think Spurs have anyone Big Scandanavian type with them or on loan to anyone at present.

Plus as has been pointed out Philliskirk is currently on loan at Oxofrd from Sheff Utd he is also about 5ft 8" so not quite sure how you compare with Lee at Huddersfield. Maybe you mean Adam Phillip at Chelsea?

It won't have been as much as Leicester are paying Howard but agree Cardiff would have had to accept a relative pittance for us compared to what Huddersfield could offer - shame as he's a handful and in my opinion a lot better than Alan Lee. At least Huddersfield can eep beating everyone else as well hopefully.

Obviously I did not know he had left Chelsea as it was two years ago that I saw him play for their reserves and the point I was making was he looked the part then so why not see where he is now and how has he developed. Obviously if he has gone to Sheff United then he is viewed as having potential but may still be very young (19 maybe not sure) hence why his loans have been to L2 Oxford. That does not mean he would not suit the part!

I was referring to the Chelsea and Tottenham Reserves of two years ago and saying that a target for a big striker would have been someone like Tomas Pekhart and a near post striker someone like Philliskirk as they were more likely to be in our price range than Howard and Parkin.

Pekhart had a great season in Scandinavia last season but this season seems to have gone backwards.
