Judas Bees

I wondered if we could come up with a team of ex Brentford players that would represent the ultimate Judas XI

The only one that I could think of who definitely needs to go in is Martin Rowlands for his crack that he had "joined a big club" when he signed for those flids in Shepherds Bush.

Anymore?

Andy sinton,for the same scum

Ah, but we go £350K for Sinton. No sell on though.

:nono: good player for us who left without making any kind of negative comment, was a good career move to the top flight!

Judas Bees

Statham to Gillingham we to join up with 2 other Judas's Ashby and Smith.

We got on their backs for the game at GP, but I am not certain that this particular group of players could be blamed for what was going on at the club at the time.

:imwith: after being sorted out a year's contract despite the fact he would be out the whole time with a broken leg.

Add Dearden to that, coming back for a keeper coaching role under Leroy before disappearing a few days later when Millwall came in for him.

Harsh, I'd say. They all played a lot of games for us, and I never saw them leaving as a judas thing.

What about Danny Boxall for fecking off so soon after his return from that incredibly long injury? :fishing:

Judas Bees

Sorry, took me so long to write that I've been beaten to it on about 5 counts.

Forgotten that about statham as well, so maybe you're right. Still think it would be harsh on Ashby and Smith though,

& like with owusu, we paid stathams wages for a year with a bad injury, then he f**ked off immediately when he was recovered. like when i nursed my first wife through her black eyes and then she ran off with the dustman as soon as my back was turned. so add owusu too for that reason, the cheating slut! PLUS he was half of the awful 1997/98 relegation strikeforce. now who was the other half again??.......

Ah forgot about this.

Further to the Gillingham question though, do Ashby and Smith qualify as Judases or did they make a move that was in hindsight wise and possibly one they had little choice in anyway?

Andy sinton,for the same scum

he went on to better things once he left the scum... you can never add Sinton in this thread it's wrong:(

Sinton joined the scum at a time when they were semi-decent.

Stuart Nelson went to orient the minute he was dropped from the 1st team, dont know if he counts because he served us well over the years...

Judas Bees

What about that complete ******.. Drewe somebody??? signed for Peterbro' & has since drifted around in dross.

I know you have no time for Lloydy but to blame him for relegation when he was playing for Slough is a bit harsh.

Judas Bees

Surely, a proper Judas is one who effectively forces the club to sell/release them.

Therefore, Chris Kamara fits the bill perfectly. The fact the he effectively leaves us off his footballing CV confirms it.

Judas Bees

bah, are you sure mate? well he took us down 2 years ago then mate. he double relegated us! :owusu: :sorted:

Judas Bees

Didn't the same thing happen with Danny Boxall as well?

I thought we released Boxall at the end of the 01/02 season, when he played a few games as a sub at the end, and he went nowhere.

Statham is in a class of his own on this score IMHO.

If "someone" hadn't fecked up Owusu's recovery from the injury he sustained when with Ghana perhaps he'd have been fit in October and we'd have had more chance of not going down.

We'd have already gone up so maybe we'd have gone back down anyway. :)

Broughton.

Played about 20 minutes.

Judas Bees

Paul Brooker - surely ...

and didn't Broughton quote " I left Brentford to go to a much bigger club" - hmm where is he now, some sh*thole in L2 I guess...

I'd want to reserve my worst criticism for those who let the club down (by attitude, rather than lack of ability) when with us, or who have actively slagged us off, rather than those who just gave a standard interview to their new club saying how they saw it as a step up.

Paul Davis would head any list for me, Mickey Bennett, Detsy Kruszynski (though not sure how much Holder to blame), Rowlands.

With some of those who left (Statham, Ashby, Boxall etc), I've no idea what offers we made to keep them - I wonder if Boxall in particular may have been told he had no future with us, as he never really gtot over his injury

Judas Bees

would add Roger Stanislaus, a fav of mine at the time but why he went to Bury, I would never know...would have been a championship player at least...

Judas Bees

Ijah Anderson who sadly went bad in the end. Too big for us and look what happened to him.
