Kamara - Shut It

He can only go with the evidence in front of him though, and unlike us he doesn't have an obligation to be optimistic or positive.

A lot of people seem to really dislike him, I've always rated him as a pundit and loved him as a player.

What about the evidence he had before him last season, in his column in the Sun, when we were doing really well, he wrote something along the lines of "reading vs brighton . ..... these two look to have it sewn up.... but i think stoke and bristol city may have something to say about that though"

Is he so wrong?

Sounds about right to me.

When he played for Swindon against us I always thought he was a useful player but when he played for us I always thought he did a fair bit of "hiding" and left Terry Hurlock to get on with the physical side of things. I was always surprised that he went on to play in a higher level of football, not that I can accept that any level of football is higher than that played by the mighty Brentford. As to commentators, what do you expect? Even last season we got bugger-all credit whilst Brighton got a whole load.

I think it's very harsh to criticise Kamara as a player. He was a tough tackler who passed the ball well and weighed in with more than a few goals. He did very well for us and along with Hurlock, Bowles and Roberts was a part of the best midfield I've ever seen at GP. His ability as an "expert" panellist is another matter though...

I remember it well, and I will find the link to the thread expressing my thoughts at the time.

All I can say is something must have upset Kamara during his time at Brentford. Either an issue with the supporters that never came to our attention, or some internal politics within the club. But nobody, surely could disregard one of their previous clubs in such a blatant manner. It is not like he even said anything on the lines of "I think Brentford will struggle to maintain their promotion push" - he snubbed us completely.

I know I can be an unforgiving type, but I honestly believe that Kamara does not deserve the benefit of the doubt.

Kamara - Shut It

well we are going to struggle aren't we for the reasons he's said - what is he supposed to do? Lie?

Kamara - Shut It

he's right about this season and I don't know why everyone seems to dislike Chris so much he was a great player for the bees and he has also been a great manager so I don't think we can really disvalue his opinion

Kamara - Shut It

you are missing the point here: last season he DIDNT even write an opinion on brentford, there was nothing to disvalue.

(Cheer up Chris) Kamara made two huge mistakes in his playing career.

1. Playing for L**ds.

2. Playing for and Managing Sadford.

However, in his new pundit role I think he's really good. In fact when he comes to the McApline he always gets a good cheer. Even if it is 'Cheer up Chris Kamara' To his credit he takes it all in good fun. In fact, I hear he's a genuinely nice guy!

He's obviously a fairly good pundit then isn't he?

Reading, Brighton and Stoke promoted.

Brentford still in the second div and without a pot to p1ss in.
