I would contend that it all depends on what type of game you wish to develop, it might be that Hibs wish to play a different type of game that does not suit KOC but he may suit our style, that's what I am hoping for

If you read their forum it is pretty clear someone there didn't fancy him. I wouldn't worry about it if our scouts rate him that's the main thing.

I doubt our lot would take a punt and pursue him like they have unless he fulfilled the technical requirements we put so much weight behind. I know who to trust when it comes to judgement on new recruits.

Even at the ridiculously low level I "coached" at, the best defenders were the ones who actually wanted to do it. My team at 15 had a 6'4 midfielder and 5'6 defender - to swap them round would have been ridiculous.

Sergi Ramos is 184cms, what's that in old money 1 1/2'' taller. Has scored a fair few headed goals from set-pieces in the CL so hasn't stopped him commanding both boxes in a game.

I never understood the notion that you needed 6ft + footballers as CBs to 'compete', just like signing a player because of his athletic build, engine and 'competitive spirit'. That philosophy will only get you so far in the modern game.
