I saw the interview with him on FLR last week and he seemed fine, I can't believe he died, he seemed to have such enthuasim for the game. It was mentioned he was going back to his native country (sorry forgotten where) to do some training in the summer, as their were limited opportunities there, that he wanted to help.

Seems like a good man and a great loss. RIP Keith.

a) have never heard of him
b) if it doesn't happen in the Prem it don't happen

I think they've got more prior things to report on such as how they can squander their millions and rack up more debts, how much they can pay over the odds for players contracts, which player is shagging which player's missus, etc, etc. Real human stories especially about honest pros like Keith Alexander who have journeyed around the lower leagues all their career, earning an honest crust just don't figure on their radar.

This terrible news bought tears to my eyes.I didn't follow his career so I didn't know much about him, but it's so very very sad. Condolences to his family and MFC.

Very sad. Just been on the macclesfield website it has his reaction to defeat at Notts County and the next article is says that he's passed away. Shocking, 53 is no age to die.

Speaking to a Lincoln City season ticket holder at work today, he was very upset. Keith worked hard for the club and had great respect from the local following. He will be sadly missed and hopely Lincoln FC will provide a memorial to recognize his services.

Really sad about this as he was far too young. A genuinely modest and talented man. I remember seeing him play as a bustling centre forward for Barnet but he did great things on no budget at Lincoln and Macc.

He was a credit to his profession.
