I remember seeing Kenny Horne play for us, in the 50's I think it was. Played left back as I recall, steady, dependable type without too many frills. Ever present at that time, not sure what happened to him though, I think he may have ended up playing non-league.

He left Griffin Park around 1959 to non league (Dover?). Had a stall on Brentford market after that I believe.

More than a stall, he had a small company which worked out of the old Brentford market.

He was one of my early heroes and when I worked in the bank at Kew Bridge he came into the branch (after he had retired from football) and he was really miserable. Very disappointing.

I believe that he died some years ago, sadly.
