Kylian Mbappe

He has just become Paris St Germain's record goalscorer. He is only 24.
World cup winner already, are we looking at a potential best footballer of all time.
I know it's all about styles, eras and what not but I would think he would be up there if his career continues at this rate. Maybe a move to Look a Liga or PL would accelerate that.

Kylian Mbappe

We already have two threads on Mbappe

but who would we drop?

Kylian Mbappe

He has already not scored enough goals to be considered the best, at Mbappe's age, Messi scored 91 goals in a calendar year and made 30 assists. I think he will come close to the top of the list, he is phenomenal, but never quite top.

PSG were only formed in 1970, so that isn’t saying much

So he left Psg and they’ve got better without him, joined Madrid and they’ve got worse ?
Yet he was still their best attacking option, Vini and Rodrygo were horrendous over the two legs

That was due to a total player strategy turn-around, with Mbappe only one of the casualties. Instead of buying Europe’s best players at the top of the market, they had a clear out and bought young players – still at the top of the market – with a lot of upside. Recruiting Luis Enrique (a Guardiola disciple) as the head coach was absolutely spot-on with a legacy of getting young players performing and his tactical nous.

Yes all true and clearing out first messi and neymar and then Mbappé was key to that. Enrique said the team would improve in attack and defence without mbappe and it has done. It’s hard to play a high press with mbappe because he won’t do any work off the ball.

Kylian Mbappe

After last nights showing he would get in our starting 11. Would make the bench though as a possible impact sub

Kylian Mbappe

Perhaps the result of being told from a very young age that you’re world class and unbelievably brilliant, and then getting paid insane amounts of money to kick a ball about.

Same goes for that Brazilian bloke who looks like a 15 year old lesbian*

*EDIT: Neymar

Kylian Mbappe

In no way, shape or form is he "overrated", he is a bloody superb footballer that can leave a defender for dead over 5 yards, score with both feet and head, is very strong and leads well.
Would sleepwalk into any team in the World

Yes . Definitely.

but Arse's CBs plus Partey and Rice with Raya on his best form, kept him very quiet.

Kylian Mbappe

Madrid’s problem isn’t him or Vinicius, it’s that they didn’t replace Kroos and then Modric is seemingly getting too old for it now.

Bellingham is a goalscorer, effects the game in the final third, he’s not a playmaker. Neither is Camavinga or Valverde.

Tchouameni is a still a top #6 but they need more support with creativity. I imagine that’s where Trent comes in.

5 Against one would keep most players quiet, seeing as Vini and Rodrygo were as much use as a chocolate fireguard over the two legs

Kylian Mbappe

He has just equalised Ronaldo’s 2013 record of 59 goals in a calendar year for Los Blancos. 🔥
