Late goals

Mark Phillips' was the sixth goal we've scored in first or second half stoppage time in our current nine-game unbeaten run:

Osborne (45+) and MacDonald (90+) v Port Vale
Osborne (90+) v Darlington
Elder (90+) v Bradford
Bean (45+) v Bournemouth
Phillips (90+) v Notts County

Have we ever been as deadly in stoppage time?

In the same nine-game run we've only conceded six goals - the same as we've scored just in stoppage time!

I can't think of many, if any, BFC teams in the last few years having such a never say die attitude. I've said on this board already, this squad we have at the moment is special. They are such a young bunch but are digging so deep week in, week out.

Long may it continue.

We were like that under Noades one season with our own Andy Scott getting a few late goals as I recall...

That was the one that sprung to my mind as well. It was about the seventh minute of injury time IIRC.

Good to see that the team has fight.. They beleive they can win every game even with a sh*te ref and 10 men.. long may it continue!!

I remember Scotty getting a late winner against Bristol City in the LDV quite a few years back. I can't remember if it was in the 90th or 120th but I do remember the look on the City fans faces from the hate corner :shocked: :no: :cry:

Owusu in his first stay scored a few very late goals.

Was it Kevin Godfrey that got a 90th minute equaliser against Tranmere in the play off game, to bring it back to 2-2, only for us to lose the second leg.

Dean Holdsworth scored a 120th minute equaliser at home to Bristol Rovers in the LDV only for us to lose on penalties.

A couple of false dawns there.

Gary Roberts got a late winner at the Old Den one xmas time in a top of the table clash. Celebrated rather well and then I sh*t myself thinking about the angry locals, luckily PG got the coach to go right to the away end and all the train and car people got a good kicking instead.:D

As I mentioned in the updates thread there seems to be something with Notts County and shocking refereeing decisions.

Although nothing is certain in life, it would be fair to say that two poor refereeing decisions against Notts County have cost us four points this season.

Remember it well.

****ing freezing cold, and was played on a frozen pitch.

Didn't want to be in the away end (corner), we went by tube so we thought we'd sit in the seats and did so quietly until the last minute, then we scored and naturally rose, fists in the air in celebration. Big mistake!

There was just 2 of us and we had to make a hasty exit.

We never got a kicking but had to survive a terrible walk/run back to New Cross Gate followed by a nervy tube ride on a packed train full of disgruntled locals.

What a place the old Den used to be, talk about intimidating!

I used to be taken there by my Father and other various relatives (all Millwall fans) as a young kid (before i saw the light!) and even as a home fan i used to be quite frightened.
Every game, even with no away fans there was trouble, pitch invasions, missiles, fighting amongst themselves but boy, did they get behind their team!
