Sorry if this is "off thread" but am I the only one who cannot get their head round this new version of GPG? I found it much easier when we had the thread titles of the most recent threads contributed to
on the left rather than the most recent "posters" we have now. Why the dramatic change when it was much easier before please?

Yes, it was about as off topic as you can get asking the question in a thread about a pre -season friendly! I have saved you the hard work of posting in the right forum by moving your post for you. Now, your query, I don't think I understand it. Could you explain the issue? As far as I'm aware, there has been no dramatic change so perhaps I need to give some guidance on usability?

Could you start off by telling me whether you are using the GPG Desktop skin or the GPG Mobile one? Then could you tell me the main menu heading that is causing you the issue.

Don't understand your problem. I have no trouble with the new format on desktop or smart phone and I'm as about as IT illiterate as you can get.

I've got to admit I find the mobile version terrifying and I am probably a quarter of David's age.

i also do not like the new layout,it was much easier when you just had one entry for each thread.

It's the Latest Threads box. It used to have one entry per thread. It now seems to be a Latest Posts box.

I believe the one in question is the one in the left most (collapsible) column on the forums page. Regular style.

That's an additional aid and more a insight into the chatter currently going on The third main menu item of the navigation bar remains the same and displays Latest Posts (one per thread) as it always has done.

On the home page, the list on the left used to be the most recently updated threads (i.e. one entry per thread). Now, at the top, it lists the new threads and below, it lists the latest updates (across all threads) - effectively a duplication of the Latest Posts page.

Les, sorry I put the posting into a totally different thread, but I am not that computer literate, and don't know how to start a new thread. However, BlueJayBee has basically explained the exact problem I am having with the new layout. Previosly we had the various threads with the latest poster on them, but I find the new layout so confusing. At least it is not just me!!!

The total number of posts that I have liked is not included anymore, but the number of likes for my posts is still there.

It's been that way for some time to cut down space. You can find the information in your profile (About Me tab).

I now find the layout ok, but recently I used to have 3 spelling option, which I found very useful as my typing can be a problem. This option has disappeared, not sure if it's my IPad or changes on layout

3 spelling option? No idea what that is. Spell checking is nothing to do with the GPG software, it's all handled locally.

The work to get this updated and running as smoothly as possible is a credit to LesB. :cool:

You can change whatever you like, as long as your Avatart stays.

And yes, I realise I've just mistyped "Avatar".

I actually quite like the mistake, though - have I just invented a new term?
