Anyone know what the early odds are? I fancy us to pull off an upset here. Does anyone know any good Delia Smith chants?

PS - what happens if it's a draw? Extra time and penalties, or a replay?

Probably penalties, although it would be nice to go back there after last time!

The local infirmary will probably have to do that after the fans go at it!

Where are Fulham in the draw? Have we got a bye? What, oh yeah, we're not in it this year. Sod this, I can't get used to this - it doesn't seem like the Fulham I'm used to! Naaarrrrichhhh, hmmmm, good draw for you lot I think. You certainly have a chance.

Don't worry Pearcey, I'm sure you'll be in it next year.

Don't worry, Pearcey - once we've disposed of Norwich in Round 1, we'll make the headlines by making sure you aren't in the third round draw either!

From the Standard:
Security fears over Millwall cup tie

by Leo Spall

Millwall were today drawn against Cardiff in a potentially explosive Worthington Cup first-round clash at The Den.

Games between the two clubs have a history of crowd violence and a massive police operation will be in place for the fixture, which will be staged in the week of 20 August.

When they last met in London two seasons ago, Millwall spent £100,000 on security and managed to keep trouble to a minimum at the ground. But a group of Cardiff fans were arrested after they were found carrying knives, CS gas canisters and drugs in central London.

Millwall chairman Theo Paphitis said today: "Last time there was tight security around the game and it went ahead without too many problems.

"We will put similar measures in place again and hope that it will be a great game with no trouble."

Other ties - all of which are one-off knockout matches - include Leyton Orient at home to Crystal Palace, QPR at Northampton, Brentford at home to Norwich, Watford playing host to Plymouth and Wimbledon at Brighton.

£100,000 on security? That's a lot of stewards!

£100,000 on bouncers more like. Could you imagine those wimps from Gold Range, the New Den would be full of fans (?) laughing so much there wouldn't be any trouble

That's about how much they'd have to pay me to steward the game.

Great draw for us, a good result could see our season get off with a bang....

Millwall v Cardiff, can't stop smiling about that... what a way to start the season in the home of football hooliganism.

At least one of these wonderful set of supporters will not be in the second round.

Wonder if they'll pop over and see us for "tea" at Orient the same night as well ?!
